    Cadence- boy or girls name???

Names are so hard! I dont like anything that is common or 'in' and so on... we're having a boy.

What do you think of Cadence? Is it more for a boy or a girl? I thought boy when I heard it but some people say girl... shortened to Cade, I think boy.

Still pondering.. I like 'Z' names so also have Zabian & Zenth in the mix, and also Tully or Ollie (bit too common though Im thinking).

Does anyone else have any ideas or opinions? Thanks girls

    Cade - boy
    Cadence - girl

What about Cadel (as in Cadel Evans) for a boy and you can also shorten that to Cade?

    I think Cadence is a girl's name.
If you went with just Cade then I think it's a boys name.

My first thought is also for a girl, but I don't think think it's too femmine to be used for a boy either!!

    I love it for either

not sure if its common or not but what about Caden? I liked this name when we were talking boys names.
A friend of mine has a Kade with a K instead of C.
Cadence i think more of a girls name.

    Z names maybe:
    Zyder
    Zayden
    Zen

Yeah definitely what the others have said re: cadence being girly.

We were going to name our last bub Zephryn if she was a boy - cos we liked Z names too.

    I'd personally say girl.

    Kade/Cadel/Caden are more masculine IMHO.

    Good luck!

I'm not that keen on any of them unfortunately - but that doesn't mean they aren't great names, if you like them thats all that matters!!

I'm all for unusual names - you should see some of the ones I've put out there on the baby name threads - especially when we were tossing up names for the last bub

i like Zephryn! He could get Zeph or Ryn for short which both sound good.
you also have to think about what names will be shortened to, cause even if you dont others will and if u do/dont like the shortened version it may make a difference to your choice.
i think Jakai would get shortened to Jack and thats super common so if ur not wanting a common name i wouldnt go with that.
Im like you, i like uncommon names but not too out there, my boys are Nixon & Tyron.
Another name i like is: Ezekiel
