    Wii Fit. Who has one?

My DH bought me a Wii Fit plus for christmas and so far I have been having a ball using it. I am aiming to use it to earn at least 30 exercise mins each day. Favourite exercise so far would have to be either the flying one, or step.

So who else has one, and how often do you use it?

Yep I have Wii Fit Plus too.
Shel bought me the Wii Fit board and game after Jazz was born in 2008, and she got me the Fit Plus game late last year.
I don't get to play it often though, Jazz wants to play and pushes me off so I can really only use it when she is asleep, but I usually have a million other things to do so it doesn't get used often unfortuantely. I did get on NYE and I'd lost 2kg in just under 8 weeks so YAY! But I wasn't playing Wii Fit so I can't say its because i really put any effort into losing the weight ROFL!

I go through phases - it's really fun though! This year it will be my goal to get into a routine where I use it most days. It's a fun way to exercise, you don't notice 30mins fly past. My boys used to push me off, but now they sit on the couch and watch me.

aussienic- you can borrow our copy of Wii Fit if you like? We have Wii Fit Plus as well, there are only a few differences between them (in Plus you can weigh pets and babies...although wouldnt work for weighing our dog, maybe he is too heavy? Might only for small dogs...) and there are a few extra games.

But you are more than welcome to borrow our Wii Fit...not getting used here...you just need the balance board, do you have that? Balance board can be used for other games as well...
anyway let me know if you'd like it and I can post it off to you so you can try before you buy

    I've got one & I love it

It hasn't had any use since I fell pregnant, but the 12 months beforehand I used it really regularly & got up to almost every day
I started at 30mins & by the end I was anywhere from an hour to an hour & a half.

I found it really convenient for me - DH works nights & is home during the day so to try & do anything with him in the house is painful enough

I would use it at night - I had a few hours in between when DS would go to bed & when DH would come home..... I was feeling amazing & building up the strength (especially in the stretches/yoga/walking/ boxing) & I was doing all of the advanced sections rather than the easier levels.

DH bought me the everlast steps so I had something harder to try, along with the weights to put the controller in - but I started my IVF cycle & fell pregnant about the same time so they haven't had much of a workout! (give me 6 months & it will be working harder than before to rid the baby weight, lol!)

I think if you make it work for you & set yourself a routine of doing it regularly (I was doing it each night at about 8.30pm - I found if I missed a night I felt guilty & really looked forward to it the following night) it can be a fantastic form of exercise.

Well so far so good. I have been using it for at least 30mins (sometimes 60mins) everyday for just over a week. I weight in Tonight, so I'll see how it goes.

But wow, I didn't realise how unfit I'd let myself become.

well I used mine for the 1st time last night, Good news is that the wii thinks I am 5 kgs lighter then what my scales at home say, but the bad news is I am very unfit, and my wii age is 10years over my real age ... so best be working on that... funny thig was I did the thing at the begining and wii said what I weighed and told me my wii fit age was 4 years over my real age, then after 30mins on the wii I did that test again and it said I had gained 2.2 kgs and my wii fit age was 10years over my real age... Ummm wonder what happened there...

other than that I had fun, I did a little jog and boy oh boy do I need to improve on that side of things! shocking!

well now all I need to do is keep motorvated to keep going, I am planing on joining a gym and doing yoga and platies ( sp?) as well so lets just hope this is the start of a fitter happier me...

My Wii age changes every day, anywhwere from 20 to 44 - sometimes in the same day. I am 27yrs old in reality. So I don't really pay attention to the age thing.

I like it, but the way DH has set up the TV makes it near impossible to use
