Just as a bit of background...sold a pair of horse riding jodhpurs on ebay a few weeks ago..my listing clearly stated payment (or at the very least contact) was to be made within 3 days of the end of the auction which I think is pretty fair. I mean if you can't pay in that time, fine but at least send me a message to let me know.
So the item sold, 3 days later no payment, no contact. After 4 days I sent them a message asking them to please pay or contact me to let me know when they were going to pay, as the listing stated 3 days. A few days later no response so I sent another message.
About 8 or 9 days after it ended I still hadn't heard anything from the buyer so filed an unpaid item dispute through Ebay, and the buyer then has 4 days to respond and pay for the item. Finally on the 5th day they paid, but still didn't send me a message or anything to apologise/explain. Fine, at least I have the money for it now... I think they paid on a Wednesday, I waited until the following Monday to send it..being a bit spiteful I thought they took long enough to pay, I'll take long enough to post...
They still haven't left feedback and I haven't left feedback for them either. I keep wondering if maybe they are waiting for me to do it first. I know you can't leave negative feedback for a buyer, but I want to say something along the lines of 'slow to pay, received no communication'. I just don't want to get negative feedback in return from them (I don't know what it would be about as far as I'm concerned I tried to contact them a number of times and heard nothing from them so I acted in my best interests). I guess I'm wondering should I wait and see what they say first before leaving my feedback, or give them feedback anyway and it will just be too bad whatever they say. First time I have ever had an experience like this on Ebay!
i'd leave negative feed back, they pressed on the confirm bid which means that theyre agree to the terms of sale in a legal contract/
if i were a seller or if i bought off this person i'd want to know what they were like
You're not allowed to make a negative comment in a feedback to buyers, you could have selling privileges taken away from you if you do and your feedback will be removed anyway. Someone did this to me; I ordered something from the U.S., requested an invoice, she didn't get back to me for weeks, ignored my msgs, so eventually i msged and said i didn't want the item as in that time, the aussie dollar plummeted and the item was costing something like three times what it originally would've been. So we had a dispute, she agreed to dismiss it and relist the item (I believe she was able to get a free re-list) then changed her mind again. Since she'd already told me she'd let it go in the dispute, she had no choice (by ebay policy) so she got pooey with me and left a nasty comment. I reported it to ebay, it was removed and she lost selling privileges for a period of time.
