I'm so sorry for your loss.
May she rest in peace.
I hope she's having fun in cat heaven chasing mice and eating all the juicy fish she can fit in her tummy. xxx
Today has been a very sad and heart breaking day for me. My fubaby of 14 years, Pooky, went to sleep in my arms as she was terminally ill and I couldn't watch her waste away in front of me. She just had no quality of life anymore.
I've had my puss since she was 6 months old. One day she wandered into my back yard and into my heart, and she never left. She was a very spoilt princess, but the best cat anyone could ever ask for. When I lived on my own, she was my constant and only comanion in the house, and offered me her unconditional love which I will never forget. I could never stay angry with her for too long. When I got pg, she was very clingy and wouldn't leave my side.
RIP my beautiful princess, see you on the other side one day.
Love you to bits and my heart is broken. There will never be another you.
Your mummy xxxx

May Pooky be enjoying her new life on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Thank you ladies for your kind words.
Sopdet, I love the quote about Rainbow Bridge, thank you. I really hope it exist, and we can be with our loved pets once again some day.

Beata - you know, I have a theory about our pets. Those we love most and who show us unconditional love - they let us know when it's time to go.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss this week - I'm actually in tears as it's reminding me of my dog, Rex. I think your wonderful Pooky is letting you know, in her own way, that you're moving onto the next stage of your life, and you don't need to worry about her any more. She knows that soon you'll be holding another baby, who'll need more time and care than can be shared with her. She knows that it would be really hard for you to share your love and time between your new bubba and her - and she's lived a great life, and wants you to move on with great memories of her.
This is her gift to you - letting you know that her season in the sun is over, and she's moved into her autumn now, as you enter into spring with your new baby.
Your baby will know her - she's heard her purr in your belly, and felt the love you've given and recieved from Pooky. This will stay with your baby forever. S/he will wonder why s/he feels such love for cats - and that's Pooky's gift to your baby.
Farewell Pooky. Enjoy your run in the autumn sun over the rainbow bridge, and know the tears shed for you here allow the flowers to grow where you are now, to give you butterflies to chase until you meet your human again.
Kazbah,
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have no idea how much your post touched my heart, I am crying now.. Your words and wisdom is beautiful, everything just makes such perfect sense, it's just what I needed to hear today. I have been looking for my baby girl since she had to leave me, I constantly expect to see her beautiful little face around the corner. Only a couple of weeks ago, she jumped on the couch with me and practically sat on my big belly, purrying away happily. I thought at that moment, this little man will know you when he's born! I took some photos of her then, funny how I had an inkiling she wasn't going to be here for a long time.
I am so sorry for the loss of your doggie Rex. May he too be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, and in the mean time enjoy all the food, treats, the sunshine and his friends there.
Thank you again for your beautiful post, it has made me feel better about Pooky's passing. I miss her so much, but I know she is not suffering anymore and one day we'll be together again.
Beata x
