    Angry salon shampoo

So I usualy always colour my own hair but because i had 2 weddings to go too i went to the hair dressers and got my hair done...even had to ask mum what i wanted because ive never had foils or anything done oh and ive always used head and sholders shampoo and conditioner because i get crazy itchy scalp.
the hair dresser tells me how great my hair is...she cant belive i do my own hair and that i use head and shoulders.
Hair dresser tells me if i use head and shoulders my colour will fade fast so I spend $60 on some redkin shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair that has made my hair so so itchy its driving me crazy...so now i go back to using head and shoulders anyways

Did it happen after only one use or repetitve use of the product? Maybe you can alternate between the two?
Redkin products are what I use (whe I can afford them) but obviously if they irritate your scalp there is a problem.
Its also worth calling Redkins consumer care line and saying that the product affected your scalp and can you return the unused product for a refund - a lot of companies offer that when there is a genuine problem.

Its a shame really because Redkin is a fantastic shampoo and conditioner ( we used it at the salon i worked at). It was poor service on the hairdressers part. She should have known you had a sensitive scalp when you said you use head and shoulders but in this day and age, they are just concerned about making more money and selling a product.

I agree with Pandora. Give Redkin a call and explain what has happened, im sure they will be more than happy to refund your money

Take it back. I would. If she recommens it she can use the opened bottle in the salon and write it off.

I hate commercial shampoos with a passion for the same reason. Natural Hemp shampoo now all the way and not a flake or itch in sight!

I event think Nestle has ownership in Redkin so even more of a reason to call and ask for a refund!

I have the EXACT same thing and use the exact same products - I first shampoo with H&S and then Shampoo & Condition with Redken Smooth Down - Works perfectly, if I don't use the H&S first, dry itchy scalp attacks but I can't go without my Redken, my hair LOVES it! Try using the H&S Shampoo first and then the Redken after, a tiny bit more stuffing around but no itchy scalp AND perfect hair is worth it xx
