I think it's Tiger Woods wife's name?? I would have thought it is a girls name... I don't really like it for a boy (or a girl honestly). Sorry... just my opinion!

I love it as a girl's name. I hadn't thought of it as a boys name.

I love it. I've only thought of it as a girl's name before, I guess it looks slightly feminine to me. Having said that, it's not that different to Alan, apart from spelling.

Yeah, probably a bit too feminine for a boy for my liking, but if you like it, go for it!

I definitely see it as a girls name, which I do like.
And I think that now Elin Woods (Tigers wife) is so well known, most people would see it the same way.

    Oh I don't know.
Cruz is a girls name and that's really popular for boys at the moment so if you like Elin for a boy then go for it.

Well, I'm not sure how much coverage it gets in Aus, but over here in North America, Tiger Woods and his marriage/affairs/accident/golfing, etc, is still all over the news, and that is his wife's name. So that's the instant connection in my mind. But if that's not getting so much attention in Australia, then maybe it will make no difference.

Elin, as in Ellen - don't do it.

Elin as in Elan (grace or style) - just call the poor boy Elan and avoid a few of the "Ellen's a girl" bullying opportunities.

    Just my view!

First thing I thought too and it's not a boys name I don't think.
