Red face How to clean dried up breastmilk up off hard wooden floors

    Hi gals,
Number 2 is a chucky babe and is sharing her feeds with the wooden floors on a regular basis. Our floors are finished with a matt finish not high gloss.

Alot of the time i get the milk whilst wet and there is no problem but on occasion I miss bits and am finding that mopping either with water (enjo) or with metho and water is not lifting the stains off the floor, when i am mopping it the floor looks clean but it dries with the stain still on it.
    Any suggestions?

Have you tried a baby wipe?

That has worked for me when I have seen spots of milk. We have a similar hard wood floor to you.

I just got a bucket of hot water and a scrubbing brush - worked a treat on my oak floor.

We actually used to use Kerosene on our floors.. Just a few drops in some really hot water,,

Either that or try a baby wipe and some elbow grease

thanks ladies for your replies, I was hoping to avoid having to get on my hands and knees and get out the elbow grease alas it would seem its not meant to be!
Time to put on some Justin Timberlake (yes cleaning music!) and get scrubbing

I used to use Pledge Grab It wipes to clean our wooden floors and they got rid of dried up breastmilk spews easily.

I would try a hot towel or tea towel and leave it on for a few minutes to soften the dried up bits then wipe it off as you pick up again. I do this all the time to my kitchen table which I regularly find dried ice-cream, vegies etc. Its so much easier then elbow grease. The heat softens it so it wipes of easily.
Only problem is if its spewed up breastmilk it will have abit of stomach acid in it and can strip the vanish off the floor if left there for a longer period of time so you might actually find even after you clean it up your lacure (can't spell) is lifting or that part of the floor appears faided. I had this with one of my spewers.
