Have you tried a baby wipe?
That has worked for me when I have seen spots of milk. We have a similar hard wood floor to you.

I just got a bucket of hot water and a scrubbing brush - worked a treat on my oak floor.

We actually used to use Kerosene on our floors.. Just a few drops in some really hot water,,
Either that or try a baby wipe and some elbow grease
