How to clean and de clutter BEST THING!

Ok So i have this DVD from Oprah about cleaning and de cluttering,

So this is what you do... and honestly I am finding this easy.

Everyday get 2 plastic bags ( big or small doesn't matter)

    1 bag is for rubbish

1 bag is for garage sale or op shop

So you go around your house doesn't take long at all.. and fill bag 1-2

Then at the end of 7 days you should have 14 bags..

I am on day 1 and oh goodness I can so get to day number 7...

My bag number 1 today was HUGE for rubbish.. I went through the kitchen, drawers,, plastic containers that I don't use.. no lids.. etc. The cutlery drawer with things I don't use anymore etc..

    Just a little tip!

I'm supposed to do this with flylady. It's called the 27 fling boogie. Then you put the bags in your boot and take the ones to go to an op shop and the others to the tip.

I say declutter first... and do bare essentials w/cleaning.. the more you declutter the easier it is to clean. I say that... however... I'm yet to put it into practice... although Turk has threatened to come do it for me if I don't start... *meep* because she's sick of me whinging hehehehe

I did that with Ashton's clothes the other day. Oh my that kid has soooooooo many clothes. One bag was for Goodwill, the other for rubbish and the rest hung back in the wardrobe. He still has heaps LOL. Don't even mention the floor in his wardrobe that is piled high with size 3 and 4's for him to grow into !!

I do a kitchen drawer cleanout every 6mths or so. Actually due again, so this thread has reminded me to do that.... tomorrow LOL

I have 3 mesh laundry baskets (the folding/pop out ones from Flylady) each one is labelled 1. Put away 2. Give away 3. Throw away. They are great for getting on top of mess and clutter and fold away when not in use

Sounds like such a great idea. But I am too scared to start!!! What sort of things do you throw in the bin (as opposed to charity)- just broken things?

This is my task for this week.

Throw out and declutter. Our 2nd bedroom is a disaster area and it needs to get sorted out NOW.

That is such a great idea! I am going to remember this

I wish I had thought of de-cluttering earlier, we are moving house and I have so far I have filled a 2 metre skip, two boot loads to the slavos and donated 2 recliners, TV and cabinet to Vinnies and I have the urge to go through my already packed boxes and throw/give away more!

The skip was a papisan mattress, old bookshelf, clothes and shoes, old candles, half of the bathroom cupboard, DDs old walker.

We donated bags upon bags of clothes and shoes and toys that I didn't like and some kitchenware.

I like the look of this - But instead of an op shop bag, do you think I could make it an ebay bag?

I did an ebay box a few weeks ago... no wait, February! I wanted to try and make money for textbooks for uni. I think I made $6, coz I didn't get round to putting all on ebay... must do that after exams
