    A huge week!

Gosh I hope this is in the right place, and indeed if it makes any sense whats so ever!!!

So this week has held to major events for me and my family.
-At the beginning of the week DH's grandfather passed away.
-And the week ended with my SIL giving birth to a baby girl 14 weeks early.

To start with DH'd grandfather had been given 3-4 days to live, he lasted 8 days. And he was 92.
the morning that he died I was meant to go out to the nursing home and say my goodbyes. But it never happened.
But that morning I had the most amazing dream. I dreamt that we went out to the nursing home and I went in to sit next to him, as I went in his family members went out into the corridor to give us some space.
He sat and listened whilst I talked. I talked for ages, but what I remember most is I told him that I loved him, I promised to look after his family and that they would be ok. And most importantly I told him it was ok to go if he felt like he needed to. At the end I said to him 'thats ok.' He would always tease me about using that phrase with everything.
He gave me this amazing smile. And I woke up. turns out I woke up at the same time that he passed.
Just before he passed, the nurses asked everyone there to step out to give him the space he needed to go.
this kind of dream isnt too unusual for me, so it doesnt really surprise me that I had it....

Then on thursday night my SIL gives birth to a little girl who seems so strong, and even more developed than most babies of that gestation. And now she has a massive journey on her hands.

I kinda think that maybe he went so that he could guide her into this world and I hope is looking out for her now. (?)

    What do you think?
Its been a vaery stragne week or sure, but I think something 'extra' is happening with the whole situation!

    Thanks

    Justine

So sorry about the passing of your DH's Grandfather. I imagine you must feel some peace from having that dream. He has done well to get to 92. I think that has huge significance that you woke up at the same time that he passed. I believe that is a sign that it really did happen, it wasn't just some coincidence. I actually don't believe in coincidence. Your DH's Grandfather was there with you, and he did receive your goodbye even though you were not physically with him.
I have had similar experiences myself, the last one just last night, which is what bought me here to reading your post.
Your DH's Grandfather most likely did help your SIL's baby girl into this world. I'm glad to hear that she is strong and healthy!

Justine, what a gift that you could be with DH's grandfather in spirit as he made his sacred journey from this world. I too don't believe there is any such thing as coincidences, the timing of his passing does seem significant. I'm sure your new little niece has plenty of spirit with her, helping her to seize hold of this lifetime. One day you will be able to tell her the story of the week she was born, and it may help her to follow the path she has chosen to come into the world for.

Robert Moss has a whole series of books on dreaming & states of consciousness which you might find interesting reading.
