Yep, its a good start as long as you have a long term plan in mind, and something that you can continue with when you stop TF.

After having DS1 I was 23 kilos above my pre baby weight. I lost 19 kilos on TF, in 4-5 months. I put about 5 back on when I stopped and stayed around that weight until I fell pg with DS

The time (i lost weight) before that I lost 23 kilos on my own (gym and a WW-like group caled T.O.W.N), to get my pre-baby weight, and I kept all of that off for six months.

ITs very easy to lose weight on TF, but it can be easy to put it all on again.
Its the fact that the diet is so restricitve, when you stop you want to eat some of the things you ate before. Just a few...it can very easily spiral and thats why you need to have a long term plan.

This is any fast weight loss program, not just TF.

ETA: now that I've had DS2, I'm looking at something called metabolic jumpstart which sounds good. And no I dont work for them.

I have been on it, but gave up I think it was after day 4. My head was spinning and I was starving and my breathe was so embarrassing !!!! I have been tempted also the last few days to start it again and give it another try. But then if you eat well you should see the same results. I have known many people to do it and I would say more then 3/4 have put the weight back on. But if it works for you and you can keep it off then go for it.

I did TF for about 8 weeks, I lost 10kg & then got a BFP so had to stop. But I do plan on going back on it when I finish feeding Pie, like you I really need the kick-start, I am hoplessly unmotivated otherwise.
Long-term, I think I will probably keep using some of it, their shakes are quite nice & suit me very well for an easy breakfast or lunch, one of my biggest problems is quick healthy stuff & no time especially in the morning. But a shake, I can do, you know?

    Hi,

I have used the program and had great success with it, i ony stopped it when i found out i was pregnant. I put it aside to use after bubs arrived but seeing as though im breastfeeding i can't use it. Anyway i lost 18kg in about 10 weeks and felt great, never had any issues at all and highly reccommend the program.

If your keen to give it a go i have almost one full months supply here that i can't use i'd be happy to sell some to you at a cheaper price if you would like to 'try' before you decide for sure if Tony Ferguson is for you ..... or im happy to sell them all to you if your interested, no pressure but the offer is there!

    Goodluck you wont be disappointed

I have only just stopped using TF.. was on it for about 6 weeks and lost 8kgs. It's good, but definately so restrictive. I still have a bit of weight to lose but just couldn't stay on the TF any longer as all the water and the shakes just ended up giving me the runs and I needed to have some good "solid "meals instead of salad and a little bit of protein.
I did feel a little misled though, cause when I joined, even though the lady knew I had a fair bit of weight to lose she told me I would be on the shakes for about 3 or 4 weeks. Each week I would go and weigh in and expect to move onto a next step but it just didn't happen, she kept telling me to stay on the TF for as long as I can.
In all, I feel as though it has given me a great kickstart in my weightloss and I now appreciate any little bit of food I can put in my mouth so sticking to a balanced diet is kind of a treat IYKWIM.
    Good luck with the weightloss.

    Re: Tony Ferguson ???

Regarding 'all the water' i just wanted to assure abb that it's not an unusually high amount of water (2L) it's the normal amount people should drink each day.

I am a good water drinker anyway so i have no problem with the water. My biggest problem with diets is all in my head, i think about food constantly as soon as i am on a diet. I love food and this is one of the things i am concerned about with TF, but willingy to give it a go for a few weeks. I have done WW a few times and still have the books so will probably do that when i have done a few weeks with TF.
What is metabolic jumpstart by the way? never heard of it.

its a plan where you do an onine questionairre (pretty thorough by all accounts) and their dieticians/nutritionists work out your optimum amount of calories per day, based on how much and how fast you want to lose weight. The minimum diet plan is 1200 cal /day

But theres not set eating plan its more like 'x amount of carb serves, x protien, y diary etc, with guidance around what is classed as a serve. So you eat what you want within the guidelines.

Im serioulsy thinking about tf for 4 weeks, then that one.
