Question Would i have hurt her?

    I am the biggest cluts..

The other day i was doing the dishes, we have 2 sinks so i had plates and stuff in one sink and i was soaking a fry pan in the other.

I went to grab something from the bench and when i reached over i whacked my belly on the handle of the fry pan that was sticking out..

It hurt ALOT but i didnt think anything of it.

But the area is now really tender.. and because my belly is so big i didnt notice but just now DP said i have a horrible bruise on my belly.

Hes now annoyed that i may have hurt our bub..

I used to do things like that allll the time when I was pg...I'm very clumsy LOL There's lots of padding in there for your bub (amniotic fluid)...as long as you can feel her moving around as normal it should be fine.

Nah, she will be fine. Don't forget that there is fluid around her, plus layers of skin and muscle, so it would have hurt you instead of hurting her.

Baby's are well padded and protected in there, as long as moving thats good.

Bub will be fine, if he's worried about it make him do the housework.

    bub will be fine.
I burned my belly on the kettle when I was pg with DS!

And I agree if he is that worried he can do everything and you can lounge around.

Don't worry, your baby is well protected in there and will be fine.

    Thanks everyone.

I feel so much better now, well a bit sore in the tummy.

But bub has been moving around lots, shes not at all phased.

I just think DP is being over protective... but not so much that he offers to clean for me..

i would be very surprised if you did hurt her.. I dont know how many times i did silly things and accidentally hit my tummy. You should be alright but if your concerned maybe see your doctor.

The bruise is still there.. and its still tender so i may need to talk to my doctor. I didnt even think to ask at my antenatal appt yesterday.
