Frustrated and fed up endometriosis sufferer

This is a great forum. I love you all for being here and I am glad I found the forum...I have been battling with this thing for years...

My confusion is about the natural progesterone cream. I am thinking about using it, but here is the thing...

I have heard it is used to aid with infertility, but I have also heard that it used in endometriosis to induce a pseudo pregnancy...

how do these two go together...you couldn't possible conceive during the pseudo pregnancy, could you???

    Emily,

Not sure if I have all the info you want/need. I am using progesterone cream and have been since my embryo transfer ( I am UTD through IVF). The progesterone can cause "pregnancy like" symptoms (sore boobs, mood swings, etc) so I don't know if that's what they mean by psuedo pregnancy? I am on it to help maintain m pregnancy as lack of progesterone is a common cause of miscarriage in women with PCOS. ( I also have endo).
From everything I've read, the cream does help fertility. But I am not an expert. Sorry I couldn't help more.

    Hi Emily
I also have been suffering from Endo for years. So I understand your frustration. I have used all different types of Progesterone treatments. From the depo provera, provera and even the Mirena IUD. I have not had much success as the side effects outweigh the good it dose. My main side effect I get is weight gain.

I was looking into the cream not long ago but like you came up witht he same frustration.

Have you tried any other Progesterone treatment??? Did you have any side effects from it??

I am now looking into herbal/vit&min. I have read that some herbal treatments can help your hormone levels even out. Because the Endo produces extra Estrogen and so dose body fat (makes me Hyper estrogen) also vit & min might help too. I am still researching it, so I can't tell you much.

Sorry I can't be much of a help.

    Take care
    Chris
