Hey Girls! Happy Birthday to all the babies who have turned one or will soon! (Allira you looked soo cute as a caterpillar hehe). Happy Birthday Jamie! Happy Birthday Jade! 1 year old!!! I'm sorry you wont have her tomorrow Em. I know the feeling of sharing the kids ....my son used to spend a LOT of time at my ex husband's house...I missed him terribly. He is with me all the time now though. You just have to make the most of it. I think in some ways it makes you a stronger person emotionally.

It will be Cara's turn in 2 weeks!! OMG OMG! I got her little CARA bracelet today from Lisa's tiny baby accessories (facebook)..sooo cute!!

Sorry to hear things aren't going too well Bridg...*Hugs* Like John Cougar Mellancamp sings "Life goes on, long after the thrill of living is gone"..we all feel crap some days...

I'm still not getting sleep...but Cara is learning a lot....standing up all by herself now and saying "Ta" and "bah" (bath)...cute.

    Hi girls!
Yeah we had a great time at the party. Allira's suit was from Ebay of all places. Very cute. I got the iron on for Lachie's shirt on there too... and am thinking about maybe getting a few sheets and creating my own caterpillar range for the kiddies. If only we were in the US were they have quite a few hungry caterpillar clothing lines.

J - I know how buggered I was after Allira's party, so being pregnant would suck! Glad you had a good day.

    Happy Birthday Jade!!!!!!
Agree with the girls, make a big fuss about it on the day you get her back. She doesn't have any idea what day is what.

Brig -Sorry to hear you've been feeling down. I'm always around if you ever need to offload

Well, I'm onto operation House make over today. I'm such a procrastinator.... I bet I don't get much done. lol

    xx

Oh, sorry I hadn't already added you to the list! It's updated now

Cathy - Cara's bracelet sounds so precious. Sounds like a lot of us are having some very sleepless nights lately!

    Hi Girls,

Another quick one for me here. It took ages this morning to catch up with al the chatter! You girls have been a bit more active!

Firstly Krystie!!!!!!! How exciting on the pregnancy test front! yay!! I would bet my pinkie finger that you are UTD. if it is past the time for the trigger being there then any amount of line means you are in my experience and I have performed a lot of those tests (not just for me IUKWIM). So I think that is fantastic!! How exciting to have a pink bundle on the way!!

BG- Hope you are feeling better soon honey

Jacinta- happy birthday to Jamie! I am sorry I missed you the other day but I saw the pictures of the cake you did on fb. Wonderful effort there love! Especially for someone preggers and feeling tired.

Nic- Congrats on Allira's b'day too! I haven't seen the photo's so I had better go for a snoop! I am gonna do a little birdie theme for Jemima. Partially thanks to you because you chose something as original as hungry catepillar for Allira. I bought the stationary from a scrapbook shop yesterday so I hope that they come up alright. I will post some pictures for you all when I do just so I can show off.

Em- Sorry you didn't have Jade honey! I agree with the girls, but I bet that doesn't make you feel great when you are home alone without you baby on a very important day fo you as a woman too.... it is after all your birthing day too. Hope you can both make up for it somehow.

Bridg- Sorry to hear that you arn't feeling so great

Vic- So how you feeling about the shift to fulltime work and being away from CJ? Any jitters? When would that start from or did you already say?

Naomi- It is funny isn't it that when we r doing it all alone and try to convince our partners that there is alot to think about with this whole looking after a baby thing, that they never really believe us. I really remain convinced that they never truly believe us about how much work it is. I guess your DH is learning it was all true. Still it is hard to stand back and watch when your few extra mins of sleep are erroded because things arn't put back. I find with my DH I have to be sooooo careful with what parenting tips I offer because he just wants to do it on his own when he does something. Annoys me because this is what I have spent my time learning is all the quick ways of doing things. You can't win honestly.

I feel like I am missing someone here biut I really only meant to stop for a quick second and say hello.

Jemima is being really tough just like the rest of the bubba's. She was taking 1-2 hrs to go down at night in the last week but seems to be coming past that again. Now we r back to the multiple night wakings. I am really tired. DH has finally put his head down and his bum up with his study in a meaningful way so I can't ask for help either. Ah well. I am getting ready for my b'day party ( we r re-celebrating my 30th from last yr as I was 41wks preg with J) it is gonna be a big one. I am still not sure what to do with J tho. I am also getting her b'day celebrations organised. She is a full 2 weeks behind all the other bubba's tho so I have time.

    Anyway love you all

    Love Bella

Well am about to take CJ to the docs, she has had a cold since Friday I thought she was getting over it, is her usual happy self, but after her morning nap I thought she felt warm, and her cheeks have been quite rosy the past couple of days - so I took her temp was 39.8! If was just the temp would have waited a bit longer before going to the docs but with all the mountains of snot too thought should go see what they say as I suspect is a bacterial infection following the cold virus she had, but feel bad because she has prob had a temp a day or two judging by the rosy cheeks and I didn't think to check it! She is too damn happy for her own good!

Vic don't feel bad mate. If she was looking good then they would have sent you away and said come back if she gets worse. The only thing you could have been doing is giving panadol and neurofen for the pain and fever. Having said that there are a lot of paediatric nurses who think you shouldn't give that unless the child is miserable because the fever helps them fight the bacteria. I personally feel terrible with a fever and so I give it if I think that Jemima is feeling sore. Besides all they will do is give Antibiotics and if CJ could fight it on her own then it is best to let her do it. I think you acted like a perfectly sensible mum. Besides the rosy cheeks could just have been from the cold weather.

Hows the weather for the rest of you? I am really enjoying rugging Jemima up. It is getting cold up here. Down to 10 degrees over night somedays. Which is pretty cold for QLD. She has so many cute winter clothes and I love layering them all.

Vic, there are so many things that COULD have caused the rosy cheeks - teething does it to so many kids - unless E is showing signs of being unwell (lethargic, too sleepy, crying more than normal) i don't worry about checking her temp. she is a happy soul, just like CJ, and i figure she will tell me when she is feeling off. you're doing the right thing getting her checked now - but don't beat yourself up over what you could have/would have done differently - it's past now - focus on what you can do now for her. as bella said - the more she can fight off on her own, the better it is for her in the long run - boosting her immune system etc

Bella - it's frikken COLD here! we live in a lovely little valley, surrounded on all sides by mountains, and somewhat isolated from everything - but our lovely little valley seems to get a lot colder than anywhere else locally (and a couple of degree hotter in summer - we have our own little weather system it seems!). we've had frosts and heavy heavy fogs the past few days - lovely driving to work at 6.30am, heavy fog, stuck behind a logtruck going up the mountain lol

ok, quick update on where we're at while E is happily playing on her own (so if this seems to abruptly end, you know why)! - E is coming ahead in massive leaps. she is the most delightful little girl to be around (most of the time) - all the developmental leaps are messing with her sleep and things though. she isn't sleeping at all well - it's not too bad for her as she is able to sleep through the day as often as necessary - not possible for me, esp on work days! i can usually push through tired and keep going. i'm hitting the point though that there is no more push left. i'm feeling physically ill from exhaustion a lot of the time. it sucks big time. her sleep isn't really that bad (maybe 2 wake ups in 10 hours most nights) - but i'm not sleeping properly myself due to some issues i've mentioned previously (money etc) and then to be woken when i finally crash by demands for a feed from her, it's hard going!! the other night was a particularly bad night - fed at 9, awake at 11 for another, then twice more. the third time, around 1.15, she decided she didn't want to go to sleep. she wasn't crying, wasn't wanting to DO anything, just didn't want to sleep and wanted to be feeding the WHOLE time - at FOUR we finally got her off me and into her own bed. it wouldn't be so bad if she stayed attached, but she comes off and on heaps at the moment (i think to encourage another let down)so i have to help her or get mauled by her little fingers (and she's none to gentle)

on top of E's sleeping (or not! lol), we're having a lot of other stuff going on (getting shafted for the work we did for friends is a big issue in my head at the moment), being messed about in an effort to sort our financial issues, my mum has done some damage to her shoulder, so runnign her around for tests and things on my days off, organising E's birthday party (i so wish i had it in me to NOT micro-manage - i just can't help it), stressing when i find out that my parents, who are paying for everything in return for the work we did in their yard, have bought six bags of chips and NOTHING else! cooking savoury stuff for the freezer ready to go blah blah blah - i'm sure you've all heard it or lived it yourselves. anyway, the fatigue is getting to me. i've typed half of this with my eyes closed, tryin to stay awake. i am suffering migraines again, and when i'm not getting nasty headaches, i'm feeling nauseous from exhaustion (and for someone with something of an upchuck phobia, nausea is bad!! nausea brings on anxiety attacks, which brings on more nausea!) as much as i am of the belief that once C is at work he should work a full day and get the most pay he can without more travel, i really would like him home about now - i feel cruddy!e had a big sleep this morning - i'll leave it a bit longer and see if i can manage to get her to have a nap with me
