    Question 2yr Old Present Ideas

    DD1's b'day is in 4mths (early i know) BUT everyone always asks me what to get her so i am going to beat them to it, make a list of suggestions and send it out NOW before the EOFY sales.

    She has so many little knick knack toys and i don't want any more rubbish items, i don't expect people to pay a fortune but am sick of things she doesn't play with etc etc.

    So far i have:

    * Puzzles
    * Books
    * Pencils / Crafty things
    * Mega Blocks
    * Play Doh accessories
    * Kids Cooking, food or pretend play sets
    * Dolls - doll bottles, CPK or CPK accessories
    * Fridge Magnets
    * Hair accessories
    * Clothes (size 2+) she is already in size 2 tops so jumpers, t-shirts etc possibly size 3+
    * Cars (she's a girl i know but she LOVES things with wheels)
    * Tonka Truck
    * Bedroom Accessories or sheet sets etc... (she has her own big girl bed already)
    * Anything Dorothy or the wiggles.
    * Bigger kids DVD's - happy feet etc anything with LOTS of music.

    God i know that seems like a lot but is there anything else your LO likes/d at this age, i just want people to have choice, she isn't exactly into 1 particular BRAND of things at the moment, although she loves Dorothy and the wiggles

    We are not even sure what we are getting her yet, will def be looking at the toy sales though me thinks.

    TIA any help is wonderful.

    voucher/pass (kids movie, mini railway, local playcentre)
    blank canvases from craft shop for painting on
    toilet bag, backpack, luggage, library bag, creche bag etc
    matching umbrella, gumboots and raincoat (can be split between two or three givers)
    tupperware lunchbox - the one with sections in it
    name labels from those online companies for posessions, and can be used for creche, school as well
    sleeping bag

    ooh I could go on forever with this.....

    My DD really got into pretend play at around this age so maybe some dress ups, cash register, kitchen, stove, apron, pretend food. My DD plays with these for ages! Ooops sorry that's already on your list!

    How about some outdoor toys? Trike, balls, scooter, bucket and spade, kids gardening tools etc?

    ITs hard ay... so many toys already - my house looks like a toy store.

    If it helps any, we are getting DD1 a toy kitchen for her birthday in August - she'll be 2 then as well. Plus I'm also going to get some felt food to go in the kitchen

    Oh toy kitchen for SURE!!! DD got one at Christmas and went absolutely ballistic. Add a set of small cups and a little tupperware jug (don't know where DW got ours, but it's great) and you have yourself hours and hours of play!

    We got ours from either IKEA or one of those toy clearance places. It has a cooktop, microwave and oven on the front and a little plastic sink bowl and washing machine on the back. It stands about 1.2m high and only about 60cm wide, so doesn't take up too much space in the playroom.

    A paint easel (spelling) is also a good idea but can be dancing with danger there.

    We are getting DD a good quality baby doll & Im making some accessories to go with it, nappy bag, nappys, clothing, blankets etc because we are due to have the baby a week after her birthday. Hopefully it will make it a little but easier if she has her own baby so she can copy what we do with the new baby
