    Smile What type of BIB?

My DS who is nearly 9 months old is the MESSIEST baby I know!! ha ha I bet you're all saying that about your kids too. He gets food everywhere so unless I strip him down compeltely which is not practical in Melbourne Winters, which bib do you suggest will give him good cover? At the moment he just wears regular bibs - the big ones from Cotton On Kids but his sleeves, crotch, and legs still get covered!

You can get plastic ones kind of like smocks from Target, I used them on DD1 before she outgrew the mess!

With DD2 I discovered Silly Billyz bibs (at Big W)...they are fabric but kinda fluffy so they repel liquid & dry quickly, the ones I got are quite large and they have a fabric pocket at the front which is good at catching bits. They have 2 tabs on teh back so still fit when they get bigger too. They wash clean really well and dry quickly which is good if you don't want to be buying lots of them. More exxy than regular bibs but worth it IMO.

I use the big size ones from Target for DD. But there are these things called "spaghetti bibs" or something similar, they are really large and cover their whole front. I know at the Saturday markets here there is a lady that sells them, so they are more a handmade thing than commercially sold. Maybe try Ebay or your local markets? There's an online store in Australia called MadeIt, they might have something like that too.

I bought a Silly Bibz, then created a pattern and made my own, with long sleeves, water resistant backing and it seriously saves us a lot of washing

maybe try and art smock lol jk
I had bibs made by a friend that were terrytowling with fabric sleaves and a tie behind the neck so maybe something similar to that I found they worked well (mind u they did look a little like small art smocks lol)

It gets pretty damn cold here too (I'm in the SA highlands, we get below zero) and that doesn't stop Miss Nudypants from shovelling dinners down most days stark naked.

Actually naked is pretty normal for her. I hardly ever wash her clothes ... blankets on the other hand. Argh! Blankets are not clothes! Clothes are clothes!
