Do you study at a desk?

I have a desk set up in the 'formal lounge/playroom' and I am sick of the space it takes up, and not to mention how cluttered it makes the room look. I would love to get rid of the desk and maybe just work from the lounge and coffee table I have in there. I still have a nice big bookcase which can hold all of my texts. I also work from a laptop. So what do you all think? Where do you study?

I used to have a desk set up in the family room at old house...now we dont' have a family room, and the study is freeeeeeezing in winter, I tend to work from the dining room table. I have a large decorator-style basket that I chuck all my books and papers etc into and a shelf where it lives close & handy, so tidying the table doesn't take too long.

I have a desk, not that I study at it, because I get more harrassed at the desk or dining table than when I study with my laptop at the bench or coffee table (probably because Jazz knows it's important ).

I get practically no study done at the coffee table, but thats my own laziness more than anythign else. It's the lounge chair, it makes me too relaxed! I prefer the desk or dining table.

I do a bit of both.

I generally study at a desk, if i want to get any work done.

I pretend I can do work by sitting on the couch with the laptop in front of the telle - but often get sidetracked onto this forum or facebook or some other research that interests me at that particular point in time.

I do ALOT of reading for my studies - so i find myself reading on the couch a bit. I find that more comfy to do on the couch, but drafting documents or something - has to be on a desk if it's meant to be any good!

I work from home and study. We live in a very small 3 bedroom house and our study has turned into a bit of a store room
I study on the couch with my laptop next to the bookshelf. Absolutely do-able and for me a must. I wouldn't be able to watch the kids from study and often have a sleeping bub next to me on the couch. It means I can do snippets of work as i would almost never get a block of time to "go to the study" in between 2 hourly breastfeeds and poo patrol x 2.
    Good luck!

Thanks Ladies, I'm so glad to be getting rid of the eye sore messy desk! My sudy involves a heap of reading too, all of which is done in bed or on the lounge!
