My DS is the SAME! I just start chanting his name. he doesn't like it.
Doris. That's a good one.
Good grief, if DS1 says "mummy, mummy, mummy, muuuuuuuum" again without actually wanting to ask me something or seek my help, I'm changing my name. I swear, he said it 232,450 times this morning alone.
Presumably it's just one of those toddler things - but now that he's started it, how long will it last??? Hmmm, probably 18 years or longer.
Perhaps I'll answer to Doris instead ....

Hahahaha!!! Ahhh I know that feeling..
I used to say "no.. mummy's not here at the moment, she's stepped outside for fresh air" Confused them long enough for them to not say it for about 5 minutes.. LOL
Ha ... you're right - I'll just have to start responding with "Cammie, Cammie, Cammie, Caaaaam". But I do like the idea of stepping out for fresh air!
Marcelles- Thats exactly what I do witht eh kids in my class when they are constantly calling my name out and driving me bonkers, I say their name back to them heaps of times and it is so funny to see their reaction. They are so unaware that they are doing it. It does work though for getting them to stop.
Another good distraction is saying "No, I'm a dinosaur. RAAAAAAHHH"
I've told Beth that I'm changing my name and I'm not going to tell her what the new one is![]()
Our toddler calls both of us mummy and we still know exactly who she's talking to![]()
DS calls everyone mummy cz he is no good with names.
ROFL ooooh I've told Oskar that my name isn't mummy anymore lol. I have also been known to just repeat "Oskar, Oskar, Oskar" hahahahaha.
