So with BLS, if bub is allergic to something, will she still happily eat it?
I've started to think DD's fussiness might be an allergy, especially after seeing her green poop last night. It could also explain the sudden onset of eczema.
But all she's tried is parsnips, avocado, potato, wholemeal bread and banana.
I think the only likely one here could be gluten, from wholemeal bread.
My diet has been pretty much the same as hers, and nothing new or unusual.
But I thought with BLS, that Bub will only generally eat what she knows she can handle..
WDYT?
It's possible they avoid foods that cause upsets for them, but I wouldn't think it's a guarantee. You're going to be the best judge. The eczema is a definite sign something isn't agreeing with her. Have you thought about taking her along to get tested for allergies? That might take the guesswork out of it.
I've heard that theory, along with the one that they are actually drawn to the food that's causing the allergic reaction, but I'm not convinced by either. I agree that the allergy test is probably the best way to go - I'm planning to try to get one for my dd, as she's had rashes on and off since she started eating solids, and I'm not convinced by the doctors putting it down to a virus every time. Good luck with it!
