    Detox

Hi my last FET failed so we are back to square one with another STIM cycle we are having 4-6 months off before starting again, but my natropath wants us to do a 6 week detox starting next week as this releases any metals causing infertility, its costing us $1000 to do this though- 3 appointments, supplements and urine testing for the both of us over the 6 weeks. We cant really afford this at the moment and im scared to spend all this money on something if its not going to help. I just wanted any advice if anyone has done this before and has helped and how much it cost you? Its my DH's problem, no motility and very low sperm count although the natropath thinks this might help us concieve natrually if there is something in DH's system causing his issue. Thanks

I know that before I TTC DD2 I did a 2 week detox starting the day AF arrived and stopped when I was due to O, DH tried it as well and we were fairly successful. We were trying naturally though. It did make me feel heaps better - after the first 4 days which I felt terrible. But if you can get through them you will feel fantastic.

There are some books and online info you can look at for a smaller 'cheaper' option for a detox, rather than shelling out all that $$ straight away

Oneday, $1000 is a lot of money for a detox. Alarm bells were ringing for me when I read that you had been recommended that by your naturopath. Surely they understand that your hard earned cash would be better put towards your cycles!!

There are definitely cheaper options out there!!

I just did one I got from the chemist, just going to check

nope - cant find the packet, but I think it was one that had stomach clear, bowel clear, liver clear and then probiotics. It had a pretty strict diet while you were taking the tablets and it worked so well. I think the 2 week course was about $100 all together and then I spent about $40 more on the organic and wholemeal foods that they recomend you to eat with the diet.

I think it was worth it, I know that I started my pregnancy with a very healthy body, and had I not conceived that first month I would have kept going with it.
