Great Tip
I'll have to use it when DS gets older![]()
today we had my son's 7th Birthday Party.. little story: We were meant to have a jumping castle and a BBQ at the beach but unfortunately due to rain we had to run around yesterday and cancel and Jumping Castle and find somewhere that would hold 29 children plus parents
Thank goodness we did.. and today it was a hit
anyways my tip
Instead of having just one big cake we decided to go for cup cakes and let the kids ice and decorate them all by themselves
It was a complete hit. (and hardly any mess) We just bought Frosting and split it into 8 bowls and iced them all into 4 colours.. then we had sprinkles and choc chips and spoons and plastic knives..
The kids had such a ball icing their own cakes..
I will admit the only reason we went this way as I was struggling to find a way to entertain that many kids for 3 hours when we hadn't really planned any party games as we were relying on the jumping castle
Great Tip

Nic, what a fabulous idea! Will have to use that one.
Oooh, I like it! The cup cake idea is great for kids with special diets too - you can make some gluten free, some dairy free, etc...
I will definitely keep this tip in mind.
BTW, when did you sing 'happy birthday'? After the kids had decorated their cakes?
We kinda forgot to sing happy BirthdayI was busy getting the cakes ready on the table while the kids helped Isaac open his presents and then they all made a mad dash for the table once we told them what it was for
