    Anterior pregnancy...

[Would love to call this a VENT but it is a blatant grass is greener whinge]

So yeah, this anterior pregnancy is crappola. It is waaaay more uncomfortable, the kicks seem to all be aimed at my cervix and just generally have this heavy tense feeling in my belly. Seriously, I am amazed she hasn't fallen out yet or punched DH in the *ahem* head *ahem*...

Why can't I have a prosterior baby again? That was ace!

And the BH I have had every night for the last 3 days is beyond a joke.

So I know I want it to be anterior for birth...but this is just no fun.

Now that you mention it LimeSlice, DS1 was posterior for pretty much the whole pg and birth, both DS2&3 were anterior and you're right pg wise I was much more uncomfortable with 2&3 punches and kicks were harder and aimed at much more painful spots!
Think of the birth, think of the birth...and hope she doesn't decide to switch position at the last minute, that would be cruel!

So I haven't heard of a pg being called anterior, but what you're saying sounds like what my bub's been doing. The kicks aren't that hard yet, only being 19 weeks, but it is uncomfortable. And the "heavy tense" feeling would exactly describe it. I thought it must've just been me being a wuss, but I'm glad I know it's because bub is sitting uncomfortably!

Yar, how mean if bub decides to move posterior just in time for birth - it'd be just about right though, wouldn't it?!!

Just means the baby is spine out, so facing into my body. Prosterior is spine to spine, so facing outwards.

And knowing how stubborn I am, and Charlotte is, I am hoping this one is nice to mummy and stays where she is for the birth lol
