Now that you mention it LimeSlice, DS1 was posterior for pretty much the whole pg and birth, both DS2&3 were anterior and you're right pg wise I was much more uncomfortable with 2&3 punches and kicks were harder and aimed at much more painful spots! Think of the birth, think of the birth...and hope she doesn't decide to switch position at the last minute, that would be cruel!
So I haven't heard of a pg being called anterior, but what you're saying sounds like what my bub's been doing. The kicks aren't that hard yet, only being 19 weeks, but it is uncomfortable. And the "heavy tense" feeling would exactly describe it. I thought it must've just been me being a wuss, but I'm glad I know it's because bub is sitting uncomfortably!
Yar, how mean if bub decides to move posterior just in time for birth - it'd be just about right though, wouldn't it?!!
