    What's in a name?

Lately I've befriended several people with a particular name or variations of this name. ALL of them have betrayed me in some way and caused major problems both in my personal and work life.

    What's with that?

no answers here Tinks but i totally know what you mean as there is one particular female name whenever i met someone of this name they are out to cause me grief which they sadly succeed in doing (usually in workplaces) and oddly enough are not far off my own age and they are of the same starsign (one before my own) !!

I'm a teacher and there are two boys names in particular that always seem to belong to children who misbehave or have attitudes that leave a lot to be desired. Many of my teacher friends have experienced the same thing. Weird huh?

Names, especially names on people of a similar age, indicate that their parents were generally in a similar demographic when their child was born. So people you don't like - eg women named Phillipa aged about 40 (to give an example of people I generally like!) - will problably have had similar parents and upbringings, so therefore have similar beliefs and ways of expressing themselves.

I get some very interesting pre-conceptions about me because of my name. Fascinating when you are well outside of a demographic: my name was popular in certain areas about ten years before I was born. It can actually be pretty helpful!
