    Premake omelette mix?

One of the suggestions I've been given by my naturopath for breakfast is an omelette. Only problem is, I don't have a lot of time in the mornings, given that I hafta practically dress the Professor

I was wondering if I could premake the mix on the weekend, and store it in ziplock bags in the fridge, so all I hafta do is stick it in the omelette maker in the morning?

No need...all you need to do is crack the eggs and add a slurp of cream straight into the pan, use a couple chopsticks to break them up and mix them. Omelettes don't need to be "beaten" and are best when they are barely agitated.

If you want to do it in a bowl first, a quick mix to break up the yolk and mix in the cream is sufficient, takes all of a minute, literally.

Salt and pepper when it is almost done, flip and eat. It honestly is the quickest egg breakky you can make.

ETA: You will be better off pre grating the cheese, slicing tomato, ham, whatever you plan to put in them, for the week ahead adn having it all in a bowl and just sprinkle it on the omelette (rather than the premaking egg).

Yep you can sub, but you seriously only need a dash.
Only 2-3 eggs too or you will just end up with scrambled eggs

Do they have to be omelettes? You could just boil a couple of eggs in a enamel cup in a few minutes. Less dishes too!

Yeah, I've gotta fit in bucketloads more veg through the day. We currently have scrambled eggs for brekkie, so she suggested loading them up with veg and calling them omelettes!

You could fry up some sliced mushrooms and keep them in the fridge for a couple of days. Finely chopped spring onion? Not sure on the nutrition content of an onion though.
