    Exclamation Here we go AGAIN....

How many times have i said i am SERIOUS about loosing weight, seriously, how often do we do it to ourselves, keep it going a couple of weeks then die in the a**e!

Well DP the D Head has been a right PITA the last couple of days "look at your gut, WE need to go on a diet" then the other night "No seriously look at that gut" i said i have had 2 kids whats your excuse... he said you weren't this big AFTER the kids.

Well guess what buddy, you want weight loss then thats what your going to get, Mumma is gonna be smoking hot and you will still end up being the obese PITA you are now.

DP has been overweight for probably over half of his life, his nickname was/is CHUBBS and he thinks being brutally honest is going to get us moving, saying it's not just ME that needs to loose it but him aswell.

NEWS FLASH mate i don't eat all day like you think, breakfast, lunch n tea.. i don't use a lot of oil in my cooking but YES we have a lot of starchy foods etc etc, it's all about exercise for me.
I have no idea why he's till so big, he doesn't eat a lot at work (sanga, muesli bar etc etc) and his job is quite active.

So it ends here... i have a new ticker.. a new goal and i AM going to do this.
He wants a clean house, happy kids and for US to loose weight well guess what, i am going to get this house clean this weekend then next week i am going to start going walking, drive into town, park the car and take the girls for a walk.. every 2nd day, the house will stay cleaner (no-one in it to mess it up) and i will get some sanity out and about....

So who's with me.. don't get me wrong this IS for me, to prove him wrong and to fit into some of my old clothes and to look as hot as i did in my professional pics!

Find your motivation and join in... please.. i will need support and i will need people checking up on me... please please please.. i NEED this.. i feel crap, i look crap and i wanne be a MILF...

I was thinking i hope you see this... lol There are some decent hills in W that we could work up too, and if you know any nice places to walk would be good.

Am also planning when i go away next month to take the girls for a walk EVERY DAY while i don't have DP to complain i'm 'never home' and once i have some kind of fitness back i will tackle the hills near my place!

I could have written this post myself. It is a VICIOUS cycle for me! I plan on losing weight, it all starts out well, but i just couldnt be bothered. Since quitting smoking 6 weeks ago I have put on weight! 4.5 freaking kgs!! I dont know how, cos I am actually eating healthier anyway, I think its time I join you - if thats ok, I *NEED* to do this for myself and as an example to my dd, who is at the start of her puberty years, I dont want her to struggle with her weight, by our poor diet.

Dp is so tired of hearing me say :
How many times have i said i am SERIOUS about loosing weight, seriously, how often do we do it to ourselves, keep it going a couple of weeks then die in the a**e!

Its going to be a depressing summer for me, cos if i [/QUOTE]do go to the beach, Im gonna have to hide from Greenpeace, or they'll kidnap me and throw me back in the sea!

Unless I get off my lazy A** and exercise!!!

I hear you and I am currently heavier now then when I was full term with DS so really need to do something. Blergh... I am about to join a gym and I even have to buy some new undies cause I have stretched all my old ones and they fall off when walking let alone anything else.

Do some googling there are some great sites out there to help you monitor how many calories/kj's you are eating as well as some exercising sites.

Goodluck and hopefully we can both loose some kg's

Gorgeous woman/mumma I have been in a place where you are at now and I've been reading some of your threads. My life has been full of yo-yo dieting and I had to put an end to it. I have still had my ups and downs during my weight loss but when I have wandered off the track, I have made sure that I never go to far so I can find my way back (well that, or the chip crumbs that I have left along the way!

What I am getting at, is even though you have tried before, it doesnt mean you have failed, it is a journey and a big one at that. All I can say is for me to get where I am now, I had to want it for me. I know you want this for you as much as I know you would love to show PITA(D)P the hot mumma that you are!

You can do this hun. Little steps.

    My first changes were:
    - trade white to brown foods (bread, pasta, cereals, rice). Its quite tasty.
    - stop sugar drinks (cordial, soft drink JUICE, milk) trade for diet soft drinks or diiet cordial, skim milk.
    - idrink water!!!
    - lots of incidental exercise. Parking far away at the shops, dancing around the house with DD. Play chasing games in the back yard, get busy cleaning, sorting. Write a list of all the things you have been wanting to do around your house but havent done, that way you have something to do if you are bored at home and instead of eating do a few jobs first then seeif you are still hungry

After I got used to those changes, I added some more in.
    - After dinner (6pm) I would only have green tea and a milk arrowroot biscuit
    - Stopped buying butter.
    - make designated exercise time for yourself

most importantly, break your goal into lots of small goals.
ie. I wanted to lose 35kg. (That number is so overwhelming!!!!!)

So here are my goals:lose 5kg - done
    lose 10kg- done
    lose 15kg - done
    lose 20kg - done
lose 25kg - done, undone (almost done again)
    lose 30kg
    lose 35kg
go without maccas for a month
    size 16 - done
    size 14 - done
    size 12 -
    size 10 -
    run 5min straight- done
    run 10min straight
    complete city to surf

There are heasp more, but you get the idea, smaller, more achievable goals that you can add up that will get you to your end goal.

I hope this has helped in some way. I know I have written a lot but I really see you being able to do this for you hun. Use your mind, the most powerful weight loss tool. I wish you all the best and will be following you

Thanks so much hun.. we have cut out softdrin here already and only ever have it should we have guests etc but we do drink cordial at tea time.. i drink lots of water and eat lots of fruit but i NEED to exercise.. i love the dancing round with the girls, i also dance my way round the cleaning.. pmsl.

My goals are small aswell, 5kg at a time... baby steps.. little things that i can change that i wont miss for now and will be harder than doing 1 big cull and then missing it all.

I'm up for a walk anytime too ZF. At the moment I'm managing to get out around 3 times a week for about 1hr each time, and come back huffing and puffing but feeling great! Found a nice walking track from home too if you're up for a change, but like Kate, I can come for a wander near you.

I have just finished reading Sweet Poison (well 'The Sweet Poison Quit Plan' to be specific), I picked it up at the library and it has a very interesting things to say about diet changes. I recommend it if you want to think about changing life diet choices.

Plus, just want to say, AliBaby, awesome advice!
