    Made my appointment!

Well, it's done, I've made the appointment, forms are in the mail, DH has been told and now I just have to go through with it!

    I'm having my tubes tied!!!!

I have made this appointment 3 times and cancelled 3 times. But, I know it's time, I don't want to have anymore children and I don't want my DH to have a vasectomy. I want to stop having to have "unsafe time" during the month as we don't use any contraception. I want freedom to love my DH without the fear of a surprise pregnancy.

So this is it. I'm really going through with it this time. 13th December 2010 will mark the beginning of a new chapter....

    Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek............ .................

Best of luck Krisp I hope you don't mind me asking ( if you do feel free not to answer ) Just wondering why you say you don't want your DH to have a vasectomy?

No probs Shell, I didn't want my DH to have a vasectomy as I've had breast cancer and if (God forbid) anything happened to me in the future and he remarried then I would want him to have his options open. I understand that know one can see into a crystal ball and even though he says I'm being silly and he wouldn't want anymore children he may marry a younger woman and she may want children. I have a very close friend who married an older man and he had had a vasectomy in an earlier marriage, the reversal didn't work and sadly they could not make a family together.

I know I'm reading waaaaay to much into things but it's just my thing and I KNOW my days of having baby's are over so I want to do this for us.

Thank you so much for the reply .I hope everything goes well for you, i can't imagine how scary it would be to make the appointment to have something done ,its a big deal , it is also something that means a lot to you for many reasons so i can only imagine that would make it harder for you ! I can understand why you are choosing to have the operation and i hope your DH knows what a wonderful, beautiful , caring Partner he has ! It's an amazing thing you are doing ..Good luck , i hope everything goes smoothly for you xx
