End of year present for teachers.

I'm so happy with my boy's teachers. He loves school and really enjoys himself so I wanted to buy them a present to say thanks but I'm stumped.
I don't give wine or chocolate.
I don't want to spend too much because we're feeling a bit povo at the moment.

I'm going to make little gift bags for DD's teachers with bickies in a jar, some christmassy coloured macarons, and maybe something else.

I wish I was that talented Kim but I'd probably give them food poisoning and it would go on the boy's permanent record.
    The Dusk things sound good.

I used to love getting stuff like that, but now that I'm vegan, I'm not so into it.

My favourite ever gifts have been:
    - a set of bangles
    - a box of mangoes (i.e. a parent who knew me really well)
    - a novel, that I would never usually have picked for myself, but I loved.
    - pink grapefruit pack from Body Shop (heaps of teachers are over the soap thing, but again, parent knew my love of pink grapefruit)
    - bag of quality coffee beans

And, looking around my lounge room, there's a candle set and photo frame from parents. But for every one I do use, there's two or three that I re-gift.

So my advice, is get to know the teacher, and see what might suit.

I went to Big W and found #1 Teacher Christmas ornaments for the tree. So I got my boys teachers one each. They were just under $5 each.

Last year I gave Jessica's teacher a little solar butterfly for her garden. I was the same, being a private (Christian) school, I didn't want to give wine. lol

I was in cardiology the other day and saw pens with a stack of books on the top. Looks classier than it sounds! So I got that. They also have these little token/coin things that have various messages and there is one for teachers, so I got that too. We then intend to do some Christmas baking.... although DD's teacher has just started training with my personal trainer so I might just pay for a session for her instead...
