Okay, well DH & I are trying to sway for a boy.Well DH more is, I am just happy to have another baby! So we are waiting until O before any BDing happens.
I've been temping and started OPK's on CD9. The test line was getting gradually darker until yesterday but today's it is faint as and you can barely see it!!! I had a temp dive this morning so I thought I would get the pos OPK for sure. Not happy when I didnt see it
Take a look at my chart. Probably not much you can read from it yet and my temps are so crazy compared to when I charted with DD. This is my pg chart from last time.. 162b9d Ovulation Charts
The temps on CD13 actually match up with this temp on CD13...
What do I do????? Do I start BDing incase its been missed or should I continue waiting? Just dont want to screw up this cycle with not being about to get a pos OPK!!!
I am sure you have already googled yourself silly finding info about gender swaying. There are websites that claim that DTD at O isn't as important at determining gender as other issues, such as diet, etc. There is plenty of conflicting info out there about what does work and what doesn't, as I am sure you are aware. But even alot of the sites that discuss the 'shettles method' disagree as to exact timings etc. Some say only DTD once on O day, others as many times as you want on O and the following day.
Did you get two lines on your OPK (although still negative)? Or just the one line? It may show tomorrow?? But keep in mind you actually get the LH surge about 1-2days 'before' O day.
I cann't give you advice as to what to do, because it really does depend on how important it is to you to try and get a specific gender (bearing in mind that it may still not work, regardles what you do). Only you and DH can make that decision for yourselves. My DH and I had this discussion ourselves and decided we couldn't try gender swaying because of the potiential disappointment (in either not falling pg, or taking longer to fall pregnant and still having the 'wrong' gender regardless).
I am really hoping that your efforts at gender swaying are successful.

Thanks for your input Misty. And I actually havent read too much about gender swaying, there is lots to do to try and help but as you said its not actually guarenteed to go the way you want hey!!
Will talk to DH once DD is in bed and see if he still wants to go down this way. I would be a lot more comfortable just DTD as often as we like and leave it at that!! Atleast I'll know that we have given it ourbest shot..
oh and yes I have been getting the two lines come up by the test line is no where near as dark as control line. Yesterday it did get to back half the shade of the control line and then today really light..
