    *Insert eye roll*

DD1 was due for her 4 year immunisation 18 months ago.
Booked her in & she came down with tonsillitis & glandular fever & ended up in hospital. GP said to put them off for a few months.
So about 6 months later I book her in again. Again she comes down with a flu or something & was too sick to have them done.
Over the past 12 months, while I plan to eventually get there, I've had alot on.

Today I get a letter in the mail:

    IMMUNISATION SAVES LIVES
IS YOUR CHILD UP TO DATE?

    To parent/guardian
Brianna is OVERDUE for 4 YR OLD immunisations
    Please phone .......

Wow, they like to push don't they!
    Anyway, my reply....
We'll get there when we get there.

Oooh yeah, I need to book DS's 3-year-old jabs. Thanks for reminding me! He'll be 4 in February. Can't do them before Easter hols: I work full-time and for the Feb half-term I've already booked our flights for some sunshine.

Having said that, so long as he's under 5 then he's still having them in the correct time window. But people can get pushy if you don't have them done straight away. For no good reason as well - you need to do the jabs when it is best for your child, not when it is best for the government!

I had booked DD in for her 12mth injections and just completely forgot. Booked her in again and she was unwell. Finally got it done 1mth after her birthday. The day after she had them I got an online letter notification from Centrelink explaining DD had not had her 12mth injections and unless I advised them of either a conscientious objection or other reason or not had them done in the next month we would be contacted again, and our CCB would be effected and then cancelled.
