    Annoyed and upset

ok so my current workplace opened up a second location.
this locations opening hours are different to the one i currently work at.
now today i got told i am working at this other one and was sent straight over.
bit annoyed as we had agreed i would be given at least 24 hours notice of change etc.

    this new practice opens 8:30-5:30

im employed to work 8-5 as i have to get home in time to get kids from day care.
i live about a 25 min drive in good traffic conditions.

    I work a 9 day fortnight.
so now they want me to give up my 9 day fortnight ( so me hubby wont get a day together, we have no family so no us time this is it for us) and work 9 1/2 days a fortnight.

i do not understand why i cant stay at the old location?
and i dont see why I should have to give up my RDO/ Study day because they have decided i move to the location that doesn't suit my other commitments which they knew all about beofre i started.

we are talking more about it tomorrow, but i feel like ill be bullied into it
though i keep thinking if they wont let me keep my 8-5 hours ill just leave, there is a big need for my profession up here.

also i know the other nurse works from 7:45 to 6:45 every day as it on her time sheet so saying i cant get in at 8 and work for 30 on my paperwork is a load of bull

stand your ground. Ask for reasons why they won't allow it and ask for proof of anything they bring up. ask why they want you to change location. Keep a record of the conversation including who was present.

Don't be afraid to say "I feel like you are trying to pressure me into this relocation of employment. I am not happy with the relocation or the new hours due to xyz (remove emotion)". Avoid the use of the word bully unless you REALLY need it. Make sure you stay calm and do not use emotion.

    Sorry for dot points.

    thats great MG
    your right.
when i was employed i said im happy to work there as long as my hours are the same.

Im just annoyed that one nurse could walk in today and say your at SSM right now.
    against our original agreement.

I have a feeling one of teh other nurses got the poops with the new dr as their one reason is "you can deal with DR XYZ, unlike others"

that's not sufficient grounds to move you. Is your agreement in writing?

yeh pretty sure my hours are yes.
    in many emails

and the current roster has me working 8-5 as well in writing.
also lots of people know of the agreement.

get a copy of the agreement before the meeting. Have it with you.
