Missed miscarriage 12 week scan :(

I need to take my ticker off when I can be bothered using the computer :'(

I have approached this scan nervously & with a feeling of dread and my body must have been telling me something because I had a missed miscarriage

When I was waiting for the scan I was busting, so I went and when I wiped it was the first time in 12 weeks l've wiped without anxiously wondering if it would be clean. It was the only time I had blood. Brown blood, so I didn't panic too much at first. But then there was another 15 mins of waiting & it was the longest 15 mins of my life. When they finally called me in and I saw the image on the screen I knew. Egg sac measuring 10 wks, no heartbeat. They had to do a vaginal ultrasound to find the baby & it was smaller than 10 wks.

I'm devastated. It would have been perfect timing in so many ways. Now it's the worst timing possible.

I had the busiest weekend lined up, including DH's cousin's baby shower. Obviously I'm not going to that anymore. Was going to meet a friend I haven't seen since school. We were going out for dinner with 2 other couples we are friends with. One married, one recently engaged. I was supposed to be leading church on Sunday but I'll have to hand that over.

But all those things are minor really

Sweets, I know exactly how you are feeling right now having walked in the same shoes. I am so very, very sorry for your loss.

It really is the most devastating news to be told that your baby didn't make it and that your body has betrayed you into thinking all is well. Be gentle with yourself. I am sending you lots of cyber hugs while you grieve the loss of your baby.
