I have 4 tattoos
Im getting my 5th next month and have started to design my 6th
Im amazed at how many people have heaps of tattoos just walking around the shops is now like being in some moving art gallery
When I got my first my mum was horrified but now she likes talking about them and seeing what Im getting next
Doesnt help my addiction that my fav shows atm are LA ink and miami ink
I have 6 tattoos.. I laugh at how most of us in the old folks home will have tatts, yet none of them do now.. (Some old war ones, but def no girls) I want a 7th.. I know where I want it, but don't know what I want, which is why I don't have it yet.. I got my 1st tatt at 16..
Partyof5 - I have one on the top of my foot and is F*rking cained!!!! I was crying by the end of it. Ive had them done across my spine as well but the foot didnt even compare. Ive got one more to get done which will be mine and DH's wedding vows or party of it anyway:

I cant wait I normally get one in most of the bigger places that Mitch and I have travelled to together so I think im going to get that one done while we are living in London

PO5 - Re, the foot, I have my babies foot prints on both feet and in my opinion my lower back hurt more.. Everyone is different, don't be too scared lol..
Amy-Jellybean - Where you getting the verse tattooed? And it what sort of writing.. Sounds so sweet, just trying to visualise it
I had the HUGEST urge to get another the other night I'm already trying to design my next three - one for Cookie, one for my parents & brothers, and one for my Nan... And one for myself, I suppose, but my "selfish" ones can wait for a little while

Lol dw Teni, I'm the selfish a-hole mother who has heaps of tatts but NONE of them are 'for' anybody, not even my kids! I get inked for my own selfish pleasure bahaha, I guess I just haven't found the 'right' design for my babies so I'm waiting until it falls into my lap Go get thee some selfish tatts!
You know what I honestly think?? I honestly think some (not all..) but some people just want a tattoo, but are terrified they will regret it so they get their kids names or something 'for' their kids so that they will never regret it.. Does that make sense?? All of my tatts have some deep meaning, so even if I live to 100, I will never regret it, cos of the meaning lol.. (although at 100 I probably wont be able to see them, and if I can I probably wont remember what they meant anyway PMSL )

I have 10 (with one that was extended). And am currently making myself wait atleast a year between them cause I think I have a problem.
Dh has 11, and our wedding rings are tattoos.
My next one I have planned is big and will be for my babies when I evntually get them
And yea I think top of the foot was the worse!! I had trouble keeping it still too because it was twitching... I want one to complient my foot on (a bad guy) and I want to get the good guys but the only thing stopping me is id have to get it on my other foot (as I am running out of places)
The 7pm project did a thing on tats the other week, I didnt watch it but was saying how it is odd to not have one.

A dove holding a love heart in it's mouth on the back of my neck
And
"for the greatest of these is love" on my lower back.
Now I have DD, I want to get the next one which will be a C on my left wrist with maybe her birthdate underneath? Still unsure of this one!
Just adding more in re: to meaning and 'selfish', I have a mix but most a selfish... Ones I have 'for others' is writting around my right arm is all the maiden names in my family going back 7 generations both mums side and dads, so that is for all the women in my family, another is on my left ankle for my great great uncle who died on france in ww1 and body has never been found. I guess you could say my ring and anniversy date is for hubby so whats that 4/10. Leaving 6/10 my own selfishness =)
All mine have a long story and im in the process of writting it all down...so far for the ones ive done it is atleast a page of writting for each tat.
....damn you all and feeding my habit!! I want another now!!!!
Yeah mine all mean something,
The one on my wrist is a reminder to me, the one on my neck means "peace hope n love" cause of the dove, heart n the branch (like in the bible) n those 3 things are what I want for my life, and the last one is kinda for my DH an kinda for me, meaning the greatest thing in life is love.... A reminder to me.
The new ones, (charlottes first initial, an then any other kids we have will get theirs underneath so it will run down my wrist but only small, not huge) are non selfish ones.. They are for the kids
I too love it and am addicted. I have a sacred heart on my calf, a heart with a puzzle piece missing (and then a piece that doesn't quite fit laying next to it), and then last week I got my Lucy tattoo... two red balloons with their ribbons spelling Lucy.
Mine mean something, but I'm wanting a jacaranda tree sort of like a cherry blossom for me....
Glamorcide, I've gotten two of my three tatts at Manly tattoo... I know some other great artists in New Farm, but I will be going back to Manly for anymore... I am sort of attached to the place.... you can google them and have a look at some of their artwork for when you are in Sydney if you like? Opps.... I meant Newtown and I typed New Farm...lol
