I have five and for me it was the inside wrist that hurt the most.
Top of my foot was my first one and I honestly didnt think it was that bad.
My stamp tramp is the biggest and that hurt too but I htink it was cause it took the longest.
Small one on the back of my neck didnt hurt at all
and the one on the side of my other foot really hurt too. I think it is a toss up actually between that one and the wrist as been the sorest.

I was just saying to DH yesterday that I really like "sleeves" and I think when we are rich he should start adding to his arm one to make it into a sleeve.

    I have 4 - they're all pretty small.
on my right foot, i have the kids names with some flower/stars
on my left ankle i have a cursive 'R' (most people assume this is for my first name, it isn't. it's the first initial of my first love, and a reminder that i will never let a man get so far under my skin, as he did)
on my left hip i have a dragon fly
on my right hand lower back i have this weird shape that i drew during a business lecture at uni and loved...

i really want to get a pin up girl on my arm, but i don't think i have the 'look' to pull it off...

I am trying to figure out the positioning of two that I want to get on my wrists (inside). I want to get a crown on each wrist (my kids' names mean "king" and "crown"/"princess"), and thought of getting them so the bottom of the crowns were closest to my wrist, with the top of the crowns towards my elbows. But I had a thought the other day, should I get them along my inner wrists? Ie, so that the sides of the crowns are at my wrist/elbow? Oh, and in black and white.

I have none yet, I am too indecisive. But I do want the crowns. Am also thinking of getting one done of a pendant I have, its rather a devil and angel embrace, but not sure where to put it. And have also thought of getting one for my near death experience last week. But I just don't know what that should be!

Everyone else's sound fantastic by the way!

commonly (what the tattooist might assume to be the 'right' way) tattoos are done to face away from you, so in that case the crowns base would be at your hands. so others can 'read' them. I guess it depends if you want them facing you or away from you, that would be something you would need to decide eg would it affect the meaning etc..

I have 3 tats. I have big plans for my back but circumstances keep changing it. Origanally I only ever wanted 2 kids so I wanted to get a horse shoe with my girls names inside it and have their birth flowers on either side of it. After having DD2 I have decided that my baby having days are not over and I also am not very keen on the November birth flower. So I am back to the drawing board. I think I will still get the horse shoe with the girls names though, I can always add to it when inspiration hits me, or another pregnancy does.

And to add, out of my 3, inside of my ankle hurt the most, mainly when it got close to my ankle bone. In saying that I found it more annoying then painful. How good does it feel when they stop and spray though.

Im not a moisturising kinda person but I want to keep my tattoos looking nice so can anyone recommend a good everyday moisturiser? I read somewhere once there were certain things you should avoid as its not good for the colours but I cant remember what it was. Ive just been using the bethpanthin when they get a bit dry but Im off the smell.
Im noticing the one on my foot gets dry fast but jeez its looking nice now its all healed

I have four. I'm not a fan of three of them- I have slightly different taste to when I was a teenager. I'm in the process of designing a cover up, it's going to have to somehow snake around my middle to cover the three of them ( two on lower back and one tummy)

Glam - we have to get our A into G about Sydney! I'm dying to get some more, it's been 5 years.

I've got a full back piece (lilies with a couple of butterflies, a ladybug, a dragon fly, bumble bee and a hummingbird) that took over 20 hours to do, a full right leg with gerbera daisies from foot to hip and a hedgehog on my foot that took 17 hours to do, a few words on my left wrist that took 15 mins to do (!) and I'm starting on my left leg in a few weeks with a geisha on my left thigh and cherry blossom and kangi down the leg onto the foot.

My hedgehog was by far the worst of all of them pain wise - damn near kicked my guy in the face a couple of times but I didn't cry (I'd never hear the end of it from him if I did!).

With the exception of my geisha all my work is hand drawn by my tattooist - I tell him what he wants and he draws it (but I get the impression he'll hand draw the geisha on as it's not easy to get a stencil to lay flat on a thigh - especially when they're fat like mine!!).

I love my tats, my mum hates them but she's in England so too far away to be concerned about!

I just have my lower back at the moment... 2 incorporated into one. I am getting another and was debating my foot or inside my forearm and that's where I've actually decided to go with... partly cos I kept thinking how much the foot would hurt bahahaha.... anyway... I'm getting cherry blossom with a Dunk Island butterfly (those really gorgeous vibrant blue ones), it has meaning to me... a very good friend of mine lost her baby 2 months ago and she's the 6th person I know (and sadly these ones were all late losses) and I wanted to do something to forever honour their little angel babies. There won't be names on it (although I'm sure that could easily be put into the cherry blossom) cos I know who they are. It will also incorporate any angel babies I cross paths with after as well... or if I meet someone later who lost. Anyway, that's why and what I want. I have to wait though for Elijah to stop BFing lol so we could be waiting a while yet!

I think you're not supposed to in case of possible infection or something? They won't tatt when pg either.

Aside from the risk of infection (which is virtually nil imo if you're going to a reputable studio and taking proper care of your tattoo afterward), there is the belief that your milk supply will be inhibited or even dry up as the body puts its efforts into healing your wound (tattoo) instead of making milk. I have been tattooed while pg (didn't know it at the time, got my BFP a week later and was around 8 weeks) and got my chestpiece finished off while BFing DD2 full-time and never had a problem with supply at all, but it is a risk and it is one that most tattooists and mothers just aren't willing to take.

Not stupid at all! I was coming in to ask that exact question, well actually I wanted to see if some one could tell me if you could get a tat while BF, same thing

I have 2. One on my left bb with my DS's names and a horrible rose. I need ot update it to add DS3 but I need a whole new design for a cover up. My XH has the same one, he didn't want to choose his own so like a 2yr old threw a hissy and said he wanted the same as mine but didn't like the flower I had chosen. STUPID ME caved I later found out that the rose is actually the rose of death, but with colour instead of black Never let anyone sway your choice in tat!!!! I can't wait to have it changed, lucky I need to wait until DS weans, it'll take that long for me to come up with a design. Libran trait, can't make a decision to save myself

The other is a little green tree frog on my ankle, I love them they're so cute. He could probably do with a touch up he's lost his vibrancy.

I use protat (the red one, not the green one) cause that's what my tattooist recommends. I've never had any problems with it and all my ink has healed fab.

forgot one!! can't believe I forgot this one as it was the first one I got done, and the one with the most meaning. I have a set of angel wings across my lower back for my baby who died when she was only 18 days old.

I have 4, I'm going to stop for a while because the last one hurt, a LOT. But then again it is 8 hours of work and 35cm long and about 10cm wide on my back.

Have had one each decade of my life since I was a teenager, so I have a few years to wait until the timing for the next one.
