    Cloth swim nappy

Any recommendations for a cloth swim nappy for DD who is almost 6 month? I hate the disposables and they are expensive too.

I've used Monkey Doodlez, they were a good fit for my DS, but I had to be pretty quick to get him out of the water if he did a poo!

We use the Happy Nappy - Splashabout Swim Nappies.
Never had any trouble with them. We paid around $24 each for them

I've used the monkey doodlez here no issues (still using them in large size). We started with the mediums at 6mths. (I've got a couple of extras if you want to try one that I don't need.)

I have a Monkey Doodlez swim nappy too, medium. SO cute. I haven't had any poos yet, so can't comment on the poo-tainment-ability.

We use monkey doodles but were also given a speedo one that is excellent. I have heard you can just use a PUL cover though.................

With the monkey doodlez, I could never quite work out why we had a problem, because it fits so snug around the legs and waist, I couldn't see how anything could escape. However, one time DS did do a poo and I didn't realise for a while, until I noticed all these flakes in the water... Gross.

Imse Vimse swim nappies here. Cost about $22 or so when I bought them, fit well, never had a situation to be able to tell you if they worked or not, but they seems to fit well and there were no gapes etc.
    Easy on and off.
They stood up well (she only ever needed the small size, the fit til she was 2) and I will use them (bought 2) with this one as well.

Monkey Doodlez here too! Bought the medium at about 1 yr old and she is still wearing it.

Not to hijack the thread (but I will!) - What size Monkey Doodlez for a 14 month old boy? Not sure of his weight, but he would be between 10 - 12 kg? I can't find any info on their website.

Moo has a Monkey Doodlez and has been wearing the same one since he was 6 months old. It's a medium and still fits though is getting a little snug.

I've used the K-Mart ones and one from Happy Baby. K-Mart one was great- cheap and worked. Happy Baby is okay but holds a bit of water which I have to drain out when he hops out by pulling it out from his leg a bit.

PUL pocket cover is terrible as it has the fabric inner it holds water and gets wet and heavy. A PUL cover for fitted nappies might be okay, but in either case I'd be worried the chlorine was killing a good nappy cover.

I have an Imse Vimse, it has snaps at the sides so super easy to put on and off a moving, wriggly toddler. Cant say about the poo stuff cause we havent had a poo in the nappy (our son likes to poo in the pool when he isnt wearing one lol)

Fiona, somewhere in that range DS went up to large (chubby thighs & tummy though) currently 12kg in large

We also have the Imse Vimse swim nappy, love it, had no leakages, and I love the fit on DD1.

We had a Monkey Doodlez, but haven't tried it I bought some smaller SH one's to try with DD2

DS has a speedo pair (now to small), a cheapo pair from K-mart which are ok but even though he is at the top end of the weight recommendation they are still really big on him. Lately I have just been using an itti bitti - bitti boo cover, but thats just been at the lake and river I wouldnt be as keen to use them in a chlorine pool too often.. (wouldnt want to ruin my ittis!)

Another vote for Imse Vinse or Monkey Doodle. I bought a Fluffies brand one at coles, labled 6-12 mths its way too big for DS2 (14mths) and fit DS1 (4yrs) when he pulled his swimmers out of the bag & I didn't realise.

Eenees here. It stood up to hard use, and is now being used again for DS2.
