Mind hugs - the other thread closed before i could answer you. but i'd get myself to the docs asap. I think the general rule is bright red blood is bad; brownish blood is usually just old stuff making a break for freedom... But it's obviously a huge worry so if i were you i'd go to the hospital or after hours gp straight away to give me some peace of mind.

big hugs and lots of them to you... and masses of sticky vibes.

Mindhugs - I had my first ever bleed just hours before my 12 weeks scan - bright red blood. It was a cervical polyp and bled until about 30 weeks. As grub said, get to the hospital where they can do a scan and see where the bleed is from- I will be thinking of you and hoping it's all OK xxx

mindhugs...yep go check checked out, brown blood ok, red blood more of a cause for concern, but can still be many reasons for that that dont affect your baby. Thinking of you and hope to hear back that all is ok for you xx

grub- scan valentines day...woohoo...hope all is going really well. and hey, congrats, I see you are a 2011 RAK recipient...woohoo. Look forward to seeing your avy

lairdoz- not long now! thinking of you

to everyone i have missed....hello and thanks for all your answers/advice re scans. I have been told i can at least hear the heartbeat each time, so that is reassuring. waiting now for our 12 week scan next week- fingers crossed!!

Mindhugs - I am thinking of you - hoping the bleeding has stopped. I always fear something like that on a weekend as it's so frustrating to get help. Let us know how you are x

Leabie - What a huge effort you are doing with the feeding. We really struggled for the first few weeks with DS losing weight etc, and saw lactation consultants galore. It finally just clicked and we never looked back, and only stopped BF at 15 months to be able to conceive this one. People just never tell you how hard it is at the beginning. And I had a good chuckle re you patting DH to sleep, my one at the moment is I keep dreaming DS has come into our room and I am always reaching out to him, turning the lamp on or even getting up to grab him. Poor DH keeps waking up to his wife doing very strange things!

Grub - Cool valentines day! We found out with DS and I think we will with this one too, although I am very sure it is another boy. Our scan is the week after yours and I am counting the days!

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for your concern & support

I had a scan yesterday and baby is all good and growing, moving around etc. Bleeding slowed down the same day it started, and has now stopped. It was bright red blood and probably filled about a pads worth (yuk). Dr was unable to ascertain where the blood came from. He's keeping me on the Crinone for a few more weeks - which I hate! Feels like the evil Crinone makes the symptoms so much worse..............

So I have my nuchal scan next Tuesday which is the next step along this never ending waiting game!!!

I agree, bleeding is so scary and on a weekend!!! At least I had no cramping which is apparently a positive.

Love to all and have a great week

Mindhugs - great news, so relieved to hear it. I had 4 weeks of bleeding in my first tri (light pink), and a threatened molar pregnancy. It was awful. GL for nuchal scan.

Possums, GL to you too for next Wednesday.

Lairdoz, great news about the dilation and hope baby's on the way, if not here already.

AFM, I'll sign off because the numb fingers are just nasty to type with. Yes, I have become officially dissociated from my hands! I am not at the level of 127 Hours yet (I think that's what it's called - the film about the guy who saws his arm off to escape from a mountain nightmare) but getting there! My two SILs have given birth and now all eyes are on us. I feel a bit anxious and pressured, to be honest, even though I'm only 1 day past the official due date. I've had loads of lower pelvic pain & back pain, but really sharp & sudden and seemingly not really BH contractions or anything, more just like the baby grinding into the bladder/bowel, enough to take my breath away and cause me to break out in a sweat. Will keep everyone posted if/when bubs arrives.

possums i love what you wrote "this is our time". gave me goosebumps!

kaybee- do you have your results yet?

afm- going ok (i think!) DH and I have been a bit grouchy with each other lately...he's been busy and stressed and I am tired and hormonal, lol ... we talked last night and things seem back on track today thankfully, we just need to be considerate and thoughtful

    Hey ladies,

Mindhugs - so relieved to hear things are ok. Good luck for your scan.

Possums - you're almost there too - how exciting is it!!! Hope you and DH have sorted things out. It's funny how when things aren't working with getting pg we are all really close and tight and when things seem to be going well we start to niggle. Maybe it's just practise for when you are tired and sleep deprived and cranky with a baby?

WW - I can't believe the state your hands are in. How do you do anything? Does it ever get better? Sorry - making you type even more! Hope all your pains and niggles are the start of a lovely smooth labour.

Sorry - so tired from working extra days. My blood results were all good - phew. Low risk for Down's. Now I can start telling people. Here goes....
