    Being accountable.

I need to face up to it.
I'm getting a little chubby. In fact I saw some photos of me recently and it looks like someone has put a hose up my butt and blown me up.
Not Good. I need to lose about 10kg and gain a whole heap of muscle.

I've joined the gym and to keep myself accountable I'm going to update my location when I go to the gym on my FB so if you're on my FB and you don't see me at the gym 5 times a week please tell me not to be lazy.
I'm getting a ticker and if my weight isn't dropping please ask me if it's because I'm not updating it or because I'm not working hard enough.

Also DH has asked me to spend less time on BB. He is concerned that I'm giving too much of my time/self. (they weren't his exact words but you know with the auto-censor and not being offensive that's a good translation)
So I've turned my little green light on for the first time in about 5 years. If you see online for too long please post here or PM me to get off.

I'm hoping that by putting it out there I will be embarrassed if I slip up .

I think that is a great first step Onyx.

The journey has got to start from within .

Good on you gorgeous one. Go you!!!!!

How far away from home is the gym? Mine is a 10-15 min walk so I now walk there instead of driving and will be able to build up to running there, also works as part of my warm-up.

Maybe also try changing the way you eat, eat your bigger meals earlier in the day.

One incentive for the getting fit is to think of it as your way to get in perfect condition to ski this season, seriously that is one of the biggest motivators for me, is to drop the weight I need to be able to go skiing and not run the risk of an injury because I'm a little bit too heavy (ok the risk of injury because I've not been skiing for a few years is another issue I have to tackle )

    Your light is on .

Just something that might help... you can download software which controls your internet access and only allows certain blocks of time per day on particular sites. You can bundle sites together (e.g. facebook, bb, google) so that you spend no more than (for example) an hour a day on all three sites combined, after which it will block access to those sites.

Helpful if you need that extra accountability.

PM me if you want details, won't post here.

Good on you Onyx, I need to do the same. I have gotten a little chubby and would love to lose about 15 kgs. I just need to wait for some discs to heal in my back after a car accident. If you have any tips, please do pass them on.

Are you at the gym yet Onyx? GET ON THAT TREADIE!

I have to say.... although it can help to be accountable to others - you have to be accountable to YOURSELF. You CAN do this, sometimes it's just because we choose not to.
