    Full of excuses!

I lost 20kg in the lead up to my wedding and weighed 56 kgs when I walked down the aisle. I weighed 60kgs when I fell preggo, and when I weighed in for my Caesar, I had put on a whopping 28kg!!!

Long story short, I had lost all my baby weight within 3 weeks of birth but have now put some back on and weigh in at 64kg as of today.

I have literally every excuse not to exercise, no time (yeah right), too cold/hot, too tired, dont wanna lose my milk supply blah blah blah.

Why can't I get motivated? I've done it before so I KNOW I can do it again.
Any tips on where to start? I would love to tone up and lose 5 kg or so before we ttc again, just to be healthy more than anything.

well done on losing that weight to begin with! I put on 30 when pregnant with DS and still have about 10 to go!!

I'm not sure how old your bubs is now, but I wouldn't be too hard on yourself.

But, if it's a kick up the butt you're after- why not start with a half hour walk each day? Get outside, get some vitamin D and you'll feel better in no time, without going too hard.

Wow! That is awesome what you have achieved! I think walking would help heaps like krystals said and perhaps keeping a food journal to see if there are any 'empty' calories you are consuming

You could start with a 30 min walk everyday... try parking further away from places so you have to walk further.

Don't be so hard on yourself, if you treat it as a chore you wont enjoy yourself. Or maybe you could get a walking buddy and that way you can chat while you walk and you dont realise how far you have walked or how long its been.

Ive found if i have someone doing it with me i stick to it!

Good luck! and good work on losing the baby weight

You know, because you've done it before, that the hardest part about exercising is the starting bit. As soon as you start & get into some sort of routine, you'll be saying "why did I put this off for so long? I feel so much better exercising!"

What did you do the first time round to lose the weight & what did you love about it? What is your ultimate fitness dream? Would you like to be able to run 3km non-stop or would you like to try a triathlon or would you like to be able to swim 10 laps of your local pool? I think its imperative to have a goal to work towards, to keep you motivated, to keep your eyes on the prize (and not necessarily only a weight-loss goal because I think that is a brilliant side effect of living a fun & active life).

Would love to talk to you more so looking forward to hearing your response.

    Thanks girls!

Well I decided that because we are away next week, I will start afresh when we get home. I cleaned out the fridge and pantry today which is a start I guess!

Winter- thankyou hon! I was very careful with food and picked up my exercise a bit ( I HATE exercise, much easier for me to cut back on food instead )

But I know how important exercise is, and that seems to be my struggle at the moment.

But, I am determined to get healthy! It WILL happen!!!

It WILL happen if you get your head into the right space & make it happen!!! GOOOO KELSBELS!!!

In all seriousness Kelsbels, if you HATE exercise, then you are doing the wrong stuff. Find something you & it will be easy to find the time to exercise. Anything from bootscooting, poledancing, walking along the beach with hubby, canoeing, rock-climbing...anything.

Personally, I love group exercise be it running with a group or circuit training with a friend. I love the camaraderie, the gossip and finding that someone in the group who I want to push myself to keep up with.

Can't wait to hear how your week starts when you get into it!
