In my bid to become a domestic Godess I decided today was the day I would clean the exhaust fans in the toilet and bathroom. They were filthy and I had enough of looking at them. I got the cover off the first one. Cleaned it and when I went to put it back up the whole fan housing came out of the roof. So I am left standing on the chair holding the housing fan and all with DD behind me screeching "Uh oh Princess Mummy... broken" .

I can't put it back in properly because I dont have the height to get the other side away from me in (It sits over the toilet) So I have managed to wedge it in the roof so its not dangling from the roof by the wires. Its didnt dangle weight wise while I had it.

Should it be ok like that until DH comes home? Will I need someone to come look at it (electrician etc)? Sorry for the silly questions its just out of my relam of experience.
