Getting the feral smell out of tupperware.

DH made a protein shake in my tupperware milkshake shaker and left the dregs in it and then left it in the car for days.
    It stinks!!
I've washed it 4 times and it still smells feral.

Is there anything I can do?

Baking soda is a great smell killer. Dry it and shake it with baking soda in it. Leave it over night and wash it out in morning. May have to repeat but it will kill the smell

I second the baking soda. Lemon juice works pretty well too. Husbands eh?!

I used to be a Tupperware consultant...you'd be amazed at how many people ask the same question, and usually it's their husband/partner that's left their lunch/drink in the car The other gals are right - baking soda is great, or get some wet newspaper or paper towel, use it to wipe out the container and then seal the paper/towel in the container and put it in the freezer overnight. If it's really bad it might need more than one go, but it should work!

After some of my tupperware (and mum's in a separate incident) went through a house fire, we both soaked them in napisan for a couple of hours and then washed as normal and it was back to being nice (and also got rid of the oily black film of house fire plasticy yuck on them) so we didn't have to replace it all
