HELP! Hungry and want something nice

Ok this is what I've got

    A block of dark chocolate
    Sweetened condensed milk in can
    sugar
    flour
    frozen puff pastry sheets
    milk
    eggs

What sort of tasty treat can I make me and the DH?

I'd make choc puff pastry crossaints (sp?)

Get a sheet of puff pastry, cut it diagonally so you have 2 triangles (or again for 4 triangles) melt the choc, then spread it all over the triangles.
Roll the pastry up from the tip of the triangle until you have a long roll then just bend it round to be a crossaint shape and bake! I put a little bit of melted butter on it just to brown it up...

If that makes any sense, they are really yummy! I do it with nutella too...

Put the oven at about 190 degrees... (fan forced)

Ooh, probably a bit late now, but here's one for future reference:

    8 slices of white bread
    butter (optional)
    strawberry jam

Butter and/or spread strawberry jam (you can use raspberry or whatever you fancy!) on one side of each slice of bread. Cut them into triangles (crusts are also optional, I leave mine on because I'm lazy lol) and layer them in a deep dish.

    In a saucepan, place:
    150g dark chocolate
    1.25 cups milk
    200ml cream
and stir over low-medium heat until chocolate is melted.

In a separate container, stir together 1/4 cup caster sugar, 2tbs cocoa and 3 eggs, then stir that into the chocolate and cream mixture.

Pour the custard mixture over the bread triangles, smoosh it down a bit and bake uncovered in a 180C oven for about 35 mins

It's soooo yum, a lot of choc bread and butter pud recipes are really bland so I like the addition of the strawberry jam I've just eaten a big bowl of it while watching a movie and it's delicious - sorry I didn't get back to you quick enough but give it a try another night!

thanks everyone! I made croissants last night, and tonight making a lemon meringue pie!

    Ingredients

    180 g plain biscuits, crushed
90 g butter, or substitute, melted (or you can just buy a premade flan)

    1 x 400 g can condensed milk
    ½ cup fresh lemon juice
    3 eggs, separated
    ½ cup caster sugar
    Method

    1. Combine crushed biscuits and melted butter.
    2. Press into a 23 cm pie plate and refrigerate.
(skip the above if you prebought the flan)
    3. Blend condensed milk and lemon juice. Add lightly beaten egg yolks and combine well.
    4. Pour evenly into the chilled crumb crust/ prebought flan
    5. Beat egg whites until stiff, then gradually beat in caster sugar. Spoon meringue on top of the filling.
    6. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 10-15 minutes, until meringue is golden.
    7. Let pie cool before serving.
