My toaster is terrible, if you have a fantastic toaster please share!

I have a Tefal toaster, a fancy cafe style one and it is terrible! We have had it for 3 years now, it has never toaster anywhere near even so you are constantly watching it but it cost a bit of money (and was a gift from my parents for Christmas, our choice ) so I didn't want to replace it as it did the job but now one of the sides is broken and you can't get the toast out so I am going to buy a new one

So, if you have a great toaster that toasts evenly in one pop please share with me what brand/model it is.

    Thankyou!

I have a Delonghi. It was an engagement present 6 years ago and it still toasts perfectly every time. Obviously they would have upgraded the model a bit since we got ours but i love that its a 4 slicer, can cook muffins, crumpets, hot cross buns etc. It has a warm button so you can re heat your toast. Thats about all on the fancy stuff but this baby has been given a huge workout the last 6 years - atleast 3 x daily and its still toasting!

We have a Delongi four slice toaster - it has two seperate heating units so you can toast two or four at once
It rocks, it has a warmer in case you need to rewarm the toast, a great range of toasting heats (eg DH likes 'warm bread' and I like my toast cooked so we are both happy) and it looks stylish and modern
Its a beast!! I can PM you more info if you wish I can try to find the model via google

I would love to know what the model is Naomi, if you have time. I have never heard of Delonghi before but 2 out of 3 posts are Delonghis so I think it may be a winner.

Sadly, mine has all of the features mentioned above aswell but ir lacks in the most important area, I just want it to cook a nice piece of toast!

Sounds like the same toater we have - its pretty big though, you need a bit of bench space. If it ever broke, i would buy it again. Its like the Icona toaster model - but ours is much older and not as modern looking (but as i said before, its 6 years old)

I just googled and in the 4 toaster there was two different models, the first model came is silver only and the second one came in blue, red, black or white. So... what colour is yours that should make it easier!

I just had another look and the coloured ones are the Iconas!
Our current toaster is rather large so bench space isn't a problem

DD mine is a De'Longhi Metropolis CTM4023 - I found it via Google but I don't think this model is available in Australia any more - however the Icona looks remarkably similar - so perhaps thats the new improved version of the Metropolis

I feel your pain - the perfect piece of toast is important!! However I am happy to say that our Delonghi delivers hahaha - Oh AND it toasts Hot Cross Buns to perfection also!

We have a few other appliances in the Metropolis range - the kettle and the sandwich press - I used to have the upright blender until I broke the glass jug

    HTH, Naomi

Oh dear - reading my post back I have realised I am a Delonghi Appliance junkie
