    Would you do it?

I've been invited to join a team for a 24hr charity swim next month. I've not been in the pool for a very long time, but I've got about 5 weeks to start to train for it.

Would you say yes to the event? Depending on how many people we get on our team, we could be swimming 4-8 hours in total.

As for training for it, I'd probably end up doing laps after I go to the gym, probably every day, as I have to keep my gym work up.

So long as I was reasonably fit and thought I could pull my weight in the team I would for sure. Sounds like fun!

I would! sounds like great fun. and if its 3-4hrs in 24 hours, that about 6 30min swims you could train for that.

Do it! you will feel amazing, espec since its for charity. Think of the fantastic weight loss you would get as a bi product. I read the other day that swimming 1/4 of a km is equalivent to running 1km. You'll be super fit and feeling mighty fine in no time

Pandora - will find out if they've got room, probably have since I think they're pushing to get a team together.

It is the megaswim for MS.

I'm going to do start training anyway (just adding some more exercise to my schedule), want to get some swimming in before the baths close in April for the winter (outdoor pool).

Yep I would! That brings back memories I did a couple wayyy back when I was swimming.

If you are in the gym you would be fit so a couple of weeks in the pool will be fine.
