Thanks for the new thread Trish

Crumpet, DD isn't only just reaching for things a bit now, not grabbing at all. Probably a few weeks off I think.

DS2 is just grabbing our hair and sucking his hand - he's exploring his activity mat with the hanging toys, he knocks them around and is learning to grasp the toys.

Crumpet - Jacob has only in the last week started grabbing onto toys (with his knowledge anyway! He used to grab them by mistake sometimes...) But he's still getting the hang of it Summah sounds like she isn't far off it now either. Yeah we do have trouble with Jacobs day sleeps but not at night, thankfully. Day time I just have to be careful that I don't let him fight it for too long or he gets really difficult.

We've had a HORRIBLE afternoon.....poor little fella has the worst bruise from where he bled with his needle and he's got teeth trouble, four days of no pooping (till tonight - thank god), overtired etc etc.... needless to say he has NOT been a happy chappy this arvo...I went to go for a walk, got to the end of the street and he'd cried the whole time, then it started raining so I ran home...then had him continue to cry for hours. He finally emptied his bowels, had a lovely shower with his daddy and is now safe and sound sleeping in his bed speaking of lovely showers.........I'm headed that way myself, I need some MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE time. Sweet dreams all xoxo

Oh no Jules hope your shower was lovely - sounds well-deserved. I think the value in these baby groups is knowing that it's not just us having a crud week, it's all the other bubs of same age. No good on the bruise - I'm dreading our 4mth needles (well for DH anyhows!) as the clinic used to have a doc and nurse giving the needles simultaneously - so the bub would have one shock not 3 or 4 ITMS? they'd count down to simultaneous injections, and use small bore needles too. Now it's just the nurse and she does them all herself

More broken sleep for Will today - strangely it was the sleep in the capsule at the Kinder during the easter picnic that was the best, cause Pip was too busy playing with the other kids! Although I had a bit of an anxiety attack with all the noise. Did have a lovely feed where he drifted off to sleep on my breast, unfortunately though it was at 4:30 so tea was a bit late.

So he's currently on the playmat in front of the fire just zoning out, ready to go to bed!

Hey Kaz - That's exactly right. That's why I just adore all you lovely ladies!! I know that no matter what I say in here you know I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a mum but like everyone else have my good and bad days....sometimes we just need a little vent. It helps that we're all going through the same things at the same time too I do know what you mean with the needles. They do that here, the town is REALLY small (only about 1500 people) so the health centre only has one nurse so they only offer the immunisation clinic on two days a month and she has to have a second person there incase of any emergencies and the second person helps with the needles also. I definately prefer that he gets them both at the same time...having one shock is much less stressful for both us and them!!! I hope everything goes ok with DH when he takes Will. Sorry to hear he had broken sleep but that feed sounds lovely...Hope he has a wonderful sleep for you tonight.

Ok, this time I'm really off to bed!! Night all xoxo (oh and PS, my shower was fab!!)

Still not well here, Harper has been a bit more lively today but still not keeping feeds down and this evening she has been in a lot of discomfort so i think her tummy must be cramping. Had a few really grose nappies too. Dr says we've got a mild case i dont want to see what a bad one is.

Just this weekend gone while we were away Harper got to have lots of floor time (because she was safe from her big brothers ) and she actually grabbed hold of a toy that was lying beside her and lifted it up to her mouth She was a very clever girl. She's also doing a lot of staring at her arm/fist and watching it as it moves. So cute to see her fascinated like that.

Gosh Jules Jacob is being a little cheeky one at the moment isn't he. You reminded me of the 4 month old injections. I forgot all about them. The busyness of three children has made me forget things i never normally would Just as long as i don't forget about my kids and leave them somewhere hey!?!?

PP love the new/preloved machine where did you get it?? I'd love to get one of my own soon and i had a look at your quilts, one day when i get the chance i'd love to attempt to make one of my own.

MadB how was your day today?

Crumpet and Charlotte i'm struggling to remember what you guys were up to from the last thread but i hope all is good and i will do my best to catch up when things settle for us.

    Happy packing Cathie

Time for bed girls talk soon xo

we're about to enter a new ice age here - 4-5 days under 30 degrees!

hmm. DS has just asked DH to bring him something different to drink because ther's a big scary rat in his water bottle...
Miri has a cold! Which explains the particularly bad sleep of late. Just snotty really, but she probably feels like crap too poor love.

MadB to see a little one sick for whatever reason is terrible. I hope Miri feels better really quick. Enjoy the ice age

WinterRaven welcome How did you little man go last night?

Harper seems ok today so far... We got her to sleep after a 6pm feed and having a really sore belly after it. Then she woke about 8pm and brought it up again. After that she slept until 2am and fed with no vomiting. Fed again at 5ish i think and still no vomiting. Some yukky nappies and still a little uncomfortable i think but so far we seem to be doing better. She's sleeping now. Please be gone now

Maybe life can get back to normal now.

    Have a great day ladies

EJ - I'm so happy to hear Harper is doing better today - poor little thing, what a horrible horrible thing to have... I bet you're exhausted too. Hopefully the worst has passed!! I feel bad for making Jacob sound like a terror, he's really not. He's a really happy little boy and we have loads of fun, it's just the day sleeps that had gotten hard, and his reflux seemed to be setting in again, he was crying during feeds, but thankfully that's settled down again. Poor little fella was out of sorts from his needles still today and has been sleeping non stop, wakes for a feed and goes back to sleep within half an hour...it's amazing seeing him sleep this much as he hasn't done it in a while. I hope he feels better soon. He hasn't been complaining but he's had a few high temps so I've had to use panadol. So strange, he didn't have any reactions from the first set of needles....but these have been a different story. He's still been full of smiles though, bless him Bleedles

MadB - Enjoy the cooler days! Finally!! Hope Miri is feeling better soon.

WinterRaven - Welcome to our group Look forward to hearing more about you and your little man soon. Good luck with the move...moving is horrible at the best of times, let alone with a little one!! Hope you have some help

Pretty good day here - spent most of it keeping an eye on Jacob, like I told EJ, he's been getting fevers today so I've had to bust out the panadol. He wasn't whingy at all, feeds were great, has been really snuggly (which I love) and an extra bonus was that he didn't fight sleep once today, it was so refreshing I even got a few mini naps in too! (when I wasn't jumping up at every sound he made cause I was worried about him) Hope you all had a great day. Sweet dreams xoxo

EJ - I hope Harper continues on the up! Yay on lifting and investigating!!!!!!

    Welcome WinterRaven!

Jules - awww poor little man.

Us - took Will to visit a friend of mine, went through 4 bibs and left my spew rag there He's doing really well, unfortunately he fell asleep on the lounge floor at around 7pm and I'm scared to move him! Taking him to work tomorrow as I start to make sure what's happening on Tuesday when I return, I told my manager need to review where I'll be expressing

    ice age!
    bleedles!

    dream pretty all.

    Hi all!

I LOVE Autumn, cool but sunny. Perfect. MadB, I bet you're cracking out the woollies about now I hope Miri is recovering from her cold.

Crumpet, Millie is the old lady of the group at 20 weeks - she arrived early but I begged and pleaded and they let me stay in this group She's grabbing things very deliberately - toys and my hair. OUCH. She is chewing and drooling on everything. So very cute. She's loving her feet right now too.

Jules, hope Jacob gets past the immunisation woes soon

EJ fingers crossed that the lurgie is gone for good. I got the machine from a repairman - we got talking about old machines while he was checking out my stupid plastic POS and he brought up the reconditioned elna. It's heavy as and sews beautifully!

    Hi WinterRaven!

Kaz, hope the return to work goes well!

Another big day yesterday, went for our MG walk on a perfect autumn morning. We stop for coffee along the way and our coffee stops are getting longer and longer The little ones are starting to interact with each other a lot, checking each other out and smiling etc. SO cute! Met my parents for lunch (they are down for Dad's medical appt and Mum is staying to look after my sister when she has a hysterectomy next week), then went home to make Mum's b'day cake. Bathed Millie before we went to my sister's for Mum's b'day dinner. She was a bit out of sorts when we got there and didn't want to be held by anyone but me or DH. We fed her and put her to bed in her new KinderKot! She slept so well, it bodes well for our trip to Germany!

Today we're having a quiet one as I'm waiting for a Woolies Homeshop delivery. We thought we'd give it a try as I'm tired of using my "me" time to go grocery shopping. Bugger that! I am pottering around doing little jobs. I went to download the recent photos and video frm our camera... and the memory card has corrupted. SO upset. It's only the past week's worth, but I had some awesome shots and a couple of hilarious videos Will see if IT guru DH can retrieve them, but may have to kiss them goodbye.

    Hope you're all well!

lordy im dragging my sorry behind already!

    ok cool thanks!

DS2 is just grabbing our hair and sucking his hand - he's exploring his activity mat with the hanging toys, he knocks them around and is learning to grasp the toys.
summah has been sucking her hands for a good 5-6 weeks now, she has got that mastered! and she is doing the same with her toys, she bashes them but its occasionally trying to grab at them...

Day time I just have to be careful that I don't let him fight it for too long or he gets really difficult.
im noticing each day she is slowly getting better and better at trying to reach for things, she just cant grip onto anything unless i open her fist and put it there, and even then it lasts 30 seconds....

oh no u poor thing! but at least he settles at night!

I do know what you mean with the needles. They do that here, the town is REALLY small (only about 1500 people) so the health centre only has one nurse so they only offer the immunisation clinic on two days a month and she has to have a second person there incase of any emergencies and the second person helps with the needles also. I definately prefer that he gets them both at the same time...having one shock is much less stressful for both us and them!!!
summah gets her vac's done at the paeds office and he does one and has a nurse there to do the other at the same time, like u guys i much prefer it, one big scream and its over!

Still not well here, Harper has been a bit more lively today but still not keeping feeds down and this evening she has been in a lot of discomfort so i think her tummy must be cramping. Had a few really grose nappies too. Dr says we've got a mild case i dont want to see what a bad one is.

Crumpet and Charlotte i'm struggling to remember what you guys were up to from the last thread but i hope all is good and i will do my best to catch up when things settle for us.
you poor things hope ur on the mend!

all good hun, nothing overly interesting going on here!

oh wow she is doing well! summah throws her feet in the air but has no idea they are attatched yet!

AFU: not much to report really, went for a picnic with some friends today...
poor summah got a bit of a fright with the all the other bubs made, they are all round the 10 month mark, but she survived the ordeal!

off to target tomorrow to expand her winter clothing collection while they have a sale on!

Kaz - So you start this coming Tuesday? good luck Hope they find you a nice spot for your expressing. That's fantastic. Glad to hear Will is doing well.

PP - I'm loving the weather too!! We haven't had to use the a/c for about three weeks now, it's been so lovely, and every day I've been going downstairs and laying out a blanket for me and Jacob, he LOVES his outdoor time, yesterday we spent just over an hour outside. It was inspired by you Oh and you'll be pleased to know I have ordered some nappies!!!!! I'm sooooo excited, I should get them Monday or Tuesday I'm hoping...I can definately feel the addiction coming on!!Jacob is getting a bit like that, he would prefer to be held by myself or DH, he's really checking out strangers before he gives them any kind of smiles etc... my cautious little man Oh no!!! was DH able to save them? I have my fingers crossed for you!!! Sounds like you had a lovely time with your MG! And that's great news about the kinderkot!! I had no idea what they were so I checked them out, so cute!

Crumpet - the picnic sounded lovely, poor Summah Jacob loves watching bigger babies/kids...whenever i'm up north with my family he watches my nephews every move, so cute. Now that I've just admitted to everyone how unsuccesful our day sleeps are he's been amazing....sleeping in his cot for a few hours at a time!! I'm so happy

Cathie - Have a WONDERFUL time with the family!!! Well deserved holiday Can't wait to see pics when you return!

AFU - we're doing great - Jacob has recovered from his needles. He's been wonderful with his sleeps too!!! He has been sleeping in his cot during the day for a few hours at a time, I'm sooooo stoked. I knew it'd happen eventually. Oh, and he's started feeding three hourly again. went to the MCN yesterday and he weighs 7.3kgs - his weight gain has slowed down - only 145 grams in two weeks, but she said that's normal and she's still happy. Made me doubt my milk, but he's happy so I'm sure he's not hungry!

Gotta go, he's waking up xoxo

Still the house of sickness here

Since i last posted Charlie boy had a night of vomiting (so much wrose than cleaning up milk vomit ) and then it was his turn to sleep in our room so i could hear every noise. Thankfully he got over the vomiting quickly he's just a little grumpy.

Now i have DH in bed sick (it's soooooo much worse when they are sick ) So once again i'm washing bedding, towels, disinfecting EVERYTHING, and washing my hands after i touch anything that could be slightly germy. So far it hasn't gotten me and if it does i dont' know what i'll do, the place will fall apart.

Harper thankfully though is her beautiful little self and Aidan James is his cheeky self. I just want to hurry up and get this over with.

Amoungst all of that i just had a phone call from my MIL to say happy wedding anniversary!! Which i honestly and no idea of. She's always remembers it for us, i think it being the day before her birthday helps. So we've been married 6 years today, we have 3 beautiful kids and many wonderful memories already. Wow i still can't get over how i had absolutely no idea

I'm going to wash my hair before Harper wakes, sorry about the lack of personals still ladies i will try and catch up soon i promise xox
