    Fainting

Is it normal to faint in your third trimester?

At my last OB appointment 3 weeks ago I had normal blood pressure levels but this morning I suddenly felt really dizzy and fainted. I have been feeling really dizzy since. I hadn't gotten up to quickly or anything like that so it was quite strange as I couldn't figure out the reason....

I'm not an expert but I wouldn't think it normal. Your BP can change heaps in 3 weeks so I'd be going back for a check.

Totally agree. Get checked as soon as possible. It could be your blood sugar levels too. Hope you're ok

    Thanks girls

I have an OB appointment on thursday so hopefully he can check things out. Luckily I haven't fainted since so I'm hoping it was a one off thing!

I would be getting it checked out to be on the safe side. But I was told at certain times maybe later in the PG you get periods where the blood rushs to your uterus which can leave you feeling light headed etc. Not sure if I worded that right or not lol.

    Yep Lissy you are right!
I did get checked out and he said that it was OK. He said if I get warning and feel like it's going to happen again to put my head in between my knees and let some blood go back to my head so it must have rushed to the uterus.
My blood pressure was OK and the bubba seemed very healthy and happy in there so all is well so far!

    Thanks so much

I faint a fair bit when pregnant. I used to faint when I was a teenager too. No reason the doctors have ever been able to pinpoint. You definitely need to make them aware of the issue, just in case something else is going on, but apparantly it isn't all that uncommon either.
