    An 'I appreciate it' gift??

I would like to get some friends a gift, just to say thanks and show some appreciation for a few things they have done for me. They live a long way away from me, so it would need to be something mail-able, and also something accessable online, since we are living out in the sticks! But I have no idea what to get? What sorts of thing could I get, give me some ideas please!

Ooohh, how would I do that? And do you think chocolate would survive a few days in the mail?

    Any other suggestions?

You can order chocolate boquets and the like from online florists. Otherwise I am sure they'd survive the mail this time of year - being cold in much of Aus.

Yep like ausgirl has said, just google choc boquets and you'll find a few places offering order and delivery. Or you could get a nice hamper delivered? My fave hampers are fresh fruit ones, with the cost of fruit nowadays they can be a real treat! Including a bottle of wine - even better

Or you could look up restaurants close to them and get dinner vouchers, movie vouchers etc

They might not have the personal touch you're looking for though. Good luck with it!

If you're feeling crafty, you could create (and frame) a couple of scrapbook pages with photos you've shared, with some fine words.

Any more suggestions? I'm not confident in sending perishable foods, not sure how food would go in the mail...

Do they drink tea or coffee? You can get some nice gift packs with coffee or a range of types of tea and these are not perishable (although fresh coffee is not great in the post).

A friend of mine sent me a little gift pack from Lush a couple of months ago when I was feeling really down. They have a gift option and were able to just post it to my house.

If they're big on tea or coffee like Traveller suggested, T2 can send gifts via post as well as far as I know and they have a great range.

Scoopons! Google it. They have awesome deals.

I got my friends a massage voucher through them as a thank you. She loved it.

There are other sites as well. Like cudo's etc with great bargain vouchers.

Or just a voucher for a pamper session where she lives.

You could get them a nice necklace with a small special charm, or some nice earrings, doesn't need to be exxy or super glitzy but thats lovely as a token gesture ... or one of those sculpture things Willow something cannot remember the name.
