    Hellooo??? Anyone there???

How are we all coping? And how are our little Leo babies?

The twins are doing so well, looking like coming out of SCN in a couple of days! They're so amazing <3

    Hi StawberryFields
Congratulations on your twins! Thats so exciting! Are they home now?
I will be back to read your birth story- I'm currently writing my own (trying to remember everything eek!)
I wonder how many people will end up in this thread? My belly-buddies group was so quiet! (DS was 8 days late so I've ended up in here )
I am trying not to spend too much time online, so will pop in every now and then
    Cheers
    Loz

Thanks! And same to you for your DS!

We're all still in hospital, they will be in here for another 2 weeks, hospital policy pretty much because of the gestation they were born at, and I'm still here why they try and sort out my pre-eclampsia which is proving pretty difficult. But the main thing is were all doing well. DH is getting lonely at home though and the dogs apparently miss me something chronic - I miss them too!

My Belly buddies group was really active then everyone started dropping off and it got down to like 4-5 people. I mostly stalked because a lot of the time what I was going through was quite different and I just didn't feel like posting towards the end, it was just all too hard - especially since nothing interesting was happening anyway!

Our girls are here a good 5 weeks early so I've ended up in a different baby buddies group to my belly buddies too so who knows how it will be in here!

I'm online a lot at the moment being stuck in hospital and all, but I highly doubt I'll be on too often with two newborns to contend with!

Looks like it was a big day for baby girls!

The twins are still in hospital until they don't need their tube feeds anymore, and I'm now at home because the hospital needed the beds...it feels weird to be home without them

I miss them but its okay because I know they're not sick, just skinny and a bit lazy! If they keep them in there much after when they're taking all their feeds from the bottle though I'm going to start getting really upset... I mean if they're just there to then fatten up why can't they do that at home and I bring them in for weighs, you know?

They finished their first whole bottles yesterday so the doctor thinks maybe next weekend! I hope so!

They're still in the hospital But the doctor said this morning what the procedure was to bring them home and she hinted we were very close so fingers crossed for this weekend!

    How's your little one going?

Thats awesome! I love seeing older siblings coo over babies, my nephew was like that when his little brother was born last year, it was so precious!

Our girls are getting very alert too, gaining lots of control over their heads, they look around as if they're never going to get a chance to see that room ever again!

And... they're trying them on all bottles today and the doctor said we should be home by Tuesday at the latest

    Hi ladies!

Thought I'd join you in here. My little Zac was born 13 days overdue on 18th august. He's the most gorgeous, placid little man and is busy stacking on the puddin'... He's 3 weeks old today and has already put on 1200g! Loving him to pieces! He's supposed to be my last but I'm getting that urge to have another one already!

I've already 'met' Lozzy and Catetay from our belly buddies but I look forward to getting to know the rest of you!
    Congratulations everyone xx

How is everyone going this week?
StawberryFields I'm glad to hear your girls are happy and alert, thinking of you as you prepare to bring them home!
Stoked- haha thats awesome weight gain! nice work congrats again on Zac!
Mum2Ramone- so great that you have healed so quick! I am not sore there at all now, but pelvic floor still fatigues and still a bit of bleeding.
    catetay- hi!!

I must say I'm struggling a little. This is my first and gosh its a steep learning curve! I'm dealing better than I thought with the tiredness, but I think EJ has the dreaded "reflux", and I spend all my time worrying about it!
He's been heaps better last few days actually, as I implement more and more strategies that I read about. (Being vigilant about keeping his head higher than stomach at ALL times)
But I am really struggling with "awake time". I know he's only 3 1/2 weeks, and there will be time to sort it out later, but it seems all his awake time is spent with him getting distracted and cross at his belly grumbles or hiccuping violently, or just staring at the wall. sigh. sometimes he will still be sleeping even 4 hours after a feed, then have a feed and right away he's giving me tired signs. Other times I try to chat to him but he wont look at me, or he is constantly frowning and grimacing as his belly gurgles away. Then he'll scream and be impossible to put to sleep, as if he's overstimulated. Other times he won't sleep at all, but he's yawning so I dont want to overstimulate him, but then he just sits there calm and awake and stares at the wall and I waste all this awake time.
He did give dad his first smile last night (typical, I spend all day with him, then he smiles at dad) so I guess he is happy sometimes, but I am worried that he wont grow up happy if he is always in pain! I just want him to be a happy content little baby.

I've got an appointment with my lovely GP tomorrow so I'm sure she will set me straight, but just thought I'd share with you guys how I'm feeling, especially as some of you have had kids before! Any reflux issues? I keep going to post a thread in the main forum, but every day is so different, I'm never really sure exactly what the problem is!

Wow time has gone quick... Hope all the little precious babies are doing well and their mothers healing well

We are just enjoying every day , She sleeps alot so Im enjoying hanging out with DS when she's asleep and having alone time with her when she is awake of a night....

She makes the funniest noises shen she is sleeping. She is feeding very well ( breastfed on demand) but she still looks so tiny. She was her birthweight at a week old .. 2680 grams and its been another week since then so I wonder what she weighs..

Are you still all having midwife check ups etc or are you just waiting for the 6 week post partum appointment?

Also when do you think itS safe to start trying to tighten up these stomache muscles ? 6 weeks? I didnt have to do anything last time but my body is a bit less forgiving as I get older

Congratulations Strawberry Fields !!!! Have a Great day....

Stoked - Hi and congratulations on the birth of Zac. I love his name

Not sure about reflux/colic.. DS had pain and would cry alot so I used Gripe Water from the chemist its non alcoholic and soothes their pain in the belly and helps them poo....
I will get some this time as DD is whinging alot too and sometimes hard to settle.... Give that a try. it worked for us it was about $6....

Suprised not to see any of my bellybuddies here. Guess they are too busy at the moment
