I pop a bit of Moroccan oil in my hair while it's still damp, then blowdry/drip dry and straighten. I use straightening shampoo/conditioners, and sometimes an anti frizz straightening treatment in damp hair before drying as well.

Ohhh nice thread I have just purchased organic moroccan argan oil from my local hairdresser but all hairdressers seem to sell a variation of it. Its an oil that gets rid of the frizz and makes me all shiny I put it in after washing my hair and straighten after blowdry. The only problem would be if you use to much your head get oily, I only get about 4 days out of it before I need to wash my hair other than that its beautiful. I do have very frizzy dry hair.

Moroccan/argan oil while damp then blow dry, hot rollers or air/drip dry.

I sometimes use the GHD thermal protector but not very often.

I've used a heap of different things and it took me a while to find something good because I have SUPER dry hair - I use a product called Revitafoam. I put it in when my hair is still damp, but it can be used wet or dry.

The problem I found with the Moroccan Oil was what MummaBee said - it would make my hair get really oily fast. Even when I used only a tiny amount! The hairdresser said sometimes if you do have really, really dry hair naturally its already trying to make extra oil to compensate for that and will do so again when heat treated, so when you add an oil type product it just makes it worse, and thats when she got me to try the foam.

But I'm a freak it would seem because I don't know anyone else who's had that problem with MO. lol

I use Kerastase Nectar Thermique, it's a leave-in conditioner and awesome heat protectant. A little exxy but lasts ages.

Not a fan of Moroccan Oil, must admit...

I use a heat protectant whenever I straighten my hair but I don't have a brand I use specifically - just whatever is available (and on special) when I run out of what I have. At the moment I have a Matthew James one I think - it's in an orange bottle.

Strawberryfields - There is Moroccan Oil light now for those who felt moroccan oil was to oily or heavy revitafoam is good but it isn't a thermal protector so make sure if you're applying heat you use a thermal protector also

I know I've tried it but its still no good for me. Like I said I'm a freak lol. I rarely heat treat my hair anyway, its usually just a quick slick over the edges to tame the fly aways, and I find not brushing it before going in public takes care of the rest
