I'm thinking if just taking a day out fishing, packing the car and just going somewhere he loves.
But we normally do something with his parents so might do it the day before!

I made a photobook through Snapfish of pics of DH and DD. It's done like a story book, so DH can read it to DD.

DH is going on a fishing charter this year as we're in QLD on holidays. He's also getting a new book to read while we're away.

We wouldn't normally spend that much though so last year he got a magazine subscription and a special personalised mug for the office with our favourite pic of DD on the front and personalised message on the back. He loved it and so did I so I bought two so we could keep one at home! LOL!

This is DH's first Father's Day, and he's getting boots for his dirtbike lol. They're expensive so the trade off is I get to spend plenty in the cloth nappy hunt lol.

But I'm also going to get him a stubby cooler or something from snapfish with a pic of him and DD.

Not sure what to do... We didn't do father's day last year, as it was only a few days after finding out about DD's birth defect, so we were kinda bummed.
And mother's day last year was when I found out I was pregnant....

This year, DP (and I guess DD!) bought me a limited edition Lee Kernaghan thingy. Its a frame with pictures and CD's in it.
I'm thinking of maybe getting him another record (you know, those old round things!). I got him one for his birthday last year and he loved it!

Just ordered a stubby holder off snapfish - they sent me an e-mail with a 30% off code so i got one for DP's dad too.
DP's has a pic of him and the girls when they were a little younger in his fave place, it's our desktop background. He's not a big fan of the photobooks etc but i might make one next year for him and scan in some of DD1's kinder work etc.

We are getting DH a transformer sticker for the back window of his car. Have seen a couple around & even on a black car like ourse & he loved it...not to expensive either. As his birthday is a week later & he won't be here he is also getting a ripcurl backpack & just a lunchbox from Woolies. He's just started an office job & needs something to cart his stuff around in.
DS1 is decorating a stubie cooler @ kindy, that should be cool.

I think were getting DH a proper tool box as all his tools currently reside in a cardboard box!!

I am also hoping to get a logitech harmony remote as he spotted it on special at Aldi and asked for it. We have so many electrical bits and pieces it's not a bad investment in genral!

I just ordered a bunch of printed cards on Hallmark online - the ones you can personalise with photos.

Four cards - one for my brother's first Father's Day, one for my Dad - his first one as a Grandad; one for my ex's Dad (again first one as a grandfather) and one for Jim's Dad.

As awkward as our situation is I feel I have to give Jim's Dad a card on my son's behalf, which I have done.
