I think were getting DH a proper tool box as all his tools currently reside in a cardboard box!!
I am also hoping to get a logitech harmony remote as he spotted it on special at Aldi and asked for it. We have so many electrical bits and pieces it's not a bad investment in genral!
I just ordered a bunch of printed cards on Hallmark online - the ones you can personalise with photos.
Four cards - one for my brother's first Father's Day, one for my Dad - his first one as a Grandad; one for my ex's Dad (again first one as a grandfather) and one for Jim's Dad.
As awkward as our situation is I feel I have to give Jim's Dad a card on my son's behalf, which I have done.
I have been selecting photos to also make an album, I had planed to get it printed at harvey norman but thanks to this thread I think snapfish may be better
I'm thinking i might just get my DH a bunnings voucher... He's into those Ryobi tools (that have all the interchangable batteries?) and I have no idea which tool he actually wants next?!
Does that sound like a bit of a dodgey gift?
Not at all Helle i think it's great.. maybe your DS could make a card and you could write an I.O.U 1 Ryobi Tool
They are expensive and it would be a PITA if he had to return it as he already has it or doesn't NEED that one so your giving him what he will eventually WANT
I got DH to write a list awhile back with all the tools that were on his wishlist- brand, type, size. It worked great cos for his bday, christmas etc for the next 3 years i was covered (as well as had suggestions for his family). Need to get another list going.
Helle, going to Bunnings is as exciting as a present anyway ( for my DH, and he is 'training' DD). Add a sausage from the sausage sizzle out the front and he will be in bliss!
